Rolling on 2B Outfit When You Have it Already.

Been following thos threads a bit now and, well i can agree it is silly that you can roll on those things, from a buisness Pov that is, i mean when i realized it day one basically that you can roll on it over and over again, i was thinking to myself "That will horribly backfire SE".. Welp, it did to a certain extend i say.


SE should have the tools to fix this but i guess we will not see any patch notes until next Tuesday.
perhaps they listened, perheps they did not, we will see.


I can understand that the OP is upset, i mean i would be too to a certain extend. Sure its "just glamour" but i mean to each their own right?

Phrasing mate, alll i read is taunts, snarky comments and insults, keep it to yourself if you cannot adress it at least somewhat neutral, it makes you look bad.

Heck unless I"m missing some context here, the 2B outfit isn't even all that skimpy. Even in Automata it only gets fanservicy if you self destruct to blow off the dress. Sure I guess you could say the leg piece is skimpy on its own but not when glamed with the dress it comes with.

And even if the 2b outift were skimpy, like you say who cares. Everyone can glam their character as they see fit. This issue feels like an oversight to me, hopefully one SE will fix though I'm not really so sure a lot of people 'are' winning the coffer and still rolling on it anyway.

Got mine in the first run because im an awesome person.

It is strange that such a sought-after non-tradeable item is obtainable more than once. That's a serious oversight on S-E's part and should be addressed immediately.

I mean that's nice and considerate of you and all but not many others share your ethics. This is an MMO and most people will screw others over giving the opportunity(Ninja looters)

Nobody should be asked to group que for this, the best we can hope is Square Patches this ASAP.

I love that when on the forums and talking about gil, if you say something is too expensive, someone will say "uhhhhhh I have so much money just craft lmao git gud", but if you say something isn't that expensive, or at least most players doing X content should have enough, suddenly "uhm no one actually has any money, I have two whole houses but I have no money?? :C :C" okie dokie, I wish I lived in the ever changing world you live in.

As for people still justifying getting like 5 coffers so some people get 0, just so you can save money on dyes, I ask you this: Why is it justifiable for you to have more than one while someone else gets none? Forget "oh it's rolling, so it's random, that makes it fair". Why do you get to have as many as you want while someone else has to keep losing that roll over and over and still not have the item they want? I often forget how selfish people on the forums are. It makes me want to roll on things I don't need just to even it out.

inb4 I get called 'cynical' again because everyone here is 14 and no one knows another 'negative' word

Yeah, her outfit IS black. It's a nice black that's better than ashy sootblack by a good ways. But anytime you dye it any color the white parts turn black so that you can cosplay as 2P when dying it pure white.
So jet black gives the outfit the darkest black and it also has the benefit of turning the white parts of her outfit black (like any dye when applied to it) making it completely black save for the fleshy looking parts that I hope they change to be your character's skin color.

People that glam the 2B outfit should be banned imo. People double dipping is just them doing the community a service and keeping more of the outfits out of rotation.

There's a mod that changes the outfit to the Glade Tunic and Expeditioner's boots.

THIS post of yours isn't so much cynical as it is sensible. If someone already has the coffer they don't need to roll on another. It's really not that hard to understand. Nor does it require that much thought as to why they don't need to roll on another. I agree with you. Except for...

It's not that strange - it's just how items work in this game.

They can mark the coffer as unique, but once you've opened it, you no longer have the coffer. The game cannot "see" anything that prevents you from receiving it again.

It can say "you already have item X, so you can't have a second one" but it can't say "you have item Y so you're not allowed to have X".

Even if it could do that, you can just put the "unique" item in another inventory - saddlebag, retainers or the glamour dresser - and you can roll on it again because the game doesn't check for it there.

Ultimately, even if some people do roll on it repeatedly, the overall number will go down over time. Even people who want two copies will get their two copies and (hopefully) stop rolling.

Some people will continue to roll mindlessly. Some will troll deliberately. But they still need to win the roll, and you have just as much chance of it. And the number of players who already have the outfit and don't roll again will still increase over time.

I haven't read the entire thread, but one way this could be fixed is if FFXIV has an actual glamour collection. Just like the game can prevent you from rolling on untradeable minions that you've added to your collection, they could do that with glamour as well. And if it's too much work to put every gear in the collection, they could try starting with just actual level 1 glamour gears.

Yeah, I noticed this tonight when I was switching changing the boots on one of my outfits. It's not the exact same jet black, a bit more shiny. It's one of those things where it's pretty much close enough, but when you start mixing and matching pieces you start to notice it. I bought a black dye for my 2b boots.. Also, there is a nasty dirt texture on the boots.

This is a set I'll need multiple of, but for now i don't have the will or the need right now to need or farm for another. I don't even want to go into that raid if I don't have to. The players are what make it a nightmare.

They really do need to fix the skin color portion. I was wondering when I switched back to my pale veena, if she was just a bit too pale. It's still fine, close enough. Probably still horrible for dark keepers of the moon like yours especially, and anything else.

I'd like to have multiples of the set but I can't personally justify rolling on something I already have when there are so many people still farming it. Either way, glam plates make it possible to have the same set dyed multiple colors at once.

I think that it would be good to have the set available via the calamity salvager, or at least change the way that the loot is handled.

you can desynthesise glam and that was a very good way to level up before the death of desynthesis but I guess some people can still do that.
