Well unsolicited help can get you an argument or ban in some cases (rules are literally that strict). The way I see it, if someone asks for help, I'll help them. If they don't ask, they don't want it.

If players on tanks with trusts don't have an issue, then OP is doing something horribly wrong with their DNC rotation.
Man I wish there could be dps checks required to queue in DF, because if you're that slow I would really rather not be stuck in a party with you.
Technically, the amount of times needed to die to fail is once, in a trust dungeon.
I mean, the answer for OP is to stop trying to use Trusts if they can't get it to work and get more damage out of live players, if one is to successfully clear it.
That said I didn't know that the fight actually used -all- the side platforms up; It's like Hades' black cauldron, I've never seen it.
I sense bait, but in case it isn't...
You see, trusts are amazing in the sense that you have to pull your own weight. if you don't do well as a dps, you won't clear and the best bit is that you can't blame anyone else other than yoursef. Trusts won't carry you. I would advise you to take your time to practice your dancer. by the way the dances deal a bucket load of damage if you're in melee range.
You'd be surprised at the people you find in this game. People nowadays are very good at spinning events in a way that favors them. Check the healer appreciation thread to realize that telling "good job" to someone can be seen as a sarcastic remark and people get offended over it.
If it makes you feel better op, I failed this on my SMN but I did not have artifact gear( didn’t know I had to simply talk to someone to get it...) so it took me three tries to get passed that boss and the third time I just saved up all burst attacks to get passed it. Granted my SMN was not rocking the best gear so that dungeon was like ex for me. Now on my Au ra, she is maining DNC and this time I had googled where to get artifact gear.... funny thing is that I unfortunately popped some of my burst before that skill and ... sort of made it? The skill went off but for some reason I survived it with 10k hp left and not going to complain xD. I guess you can say this dungeon is great way to train if you haven’t mastered your rotation yet.
I'd say this is a far cry from mastering anything. It's absolute bare minimum 1-2-3 for any and all MSQ content.
To be fair, I think many players missed AF gear. Personally, not sure how when I think you had to talk to him again to continue the MSQ, but maybe I'm remembering wrong.
I was going for a soft skills approach.
...I mean you right though...
I... guess? When I did the quest text appeared on my screen saying he would provide me with gear and that he would replace it for free if I lost it so, I guess... I just didn't think people wouldn't do that?
Yeah, I for some reason don't remember anything telling me to get the gear from him and I know I am not alone since I run into a ton of players running around with gear they get from dungeons even though they are lvl 80 and beat the story. Heck, I had someone send a tell the other night where I got the dancer gear since they couldn't figure it out either. The sad part being I have gone through this story twice and still missed it lol.
And if it was a far cry for you then it sure wasn't for me, gear or not. But I felt like it helped me to understand the jobs I am playing and learn how to beat the boss. It was the only dungeon I struggled with so, meh *shrug*
Forgot to mention that to me SMN has literally gone full circle on being that class that has way more buttons to hit since we have more control over our pets. I think this was ultimately my issue since I had to learn to make full use of my pets while weaving in all the other skills. I don't mind SMN being busy since that's what makes it fun but it definitely is not the job I can learn overnight either, but I will get there again. And yes Neri you might have a point since I was too eager to figure out how we would find Emet from there, so I might have just skipped passed it without even realizing it.
After you hand in the item to the guy, and completed the quest, there will be some sort of small text popped up stating something that you can get equipments from him. I guess people was kinda in a rush, and overlook this part, that's why.
There's definitely a text right after you get the lamp from the guy.
Wait, people are failing that dungeon with trusts? I played it as DRK the first time with them and i did not have any problem at all.
The easy answer is to just not use Trusts.
This is an MMO you know... you should play with other people...
Ironically, the closest I've come to failing the DPS check was with a party of actual people. One of the DPS was apparently doing so poorly that trusts would have outdamaged him.Quote:

But nevertheless, regardless of what you think people should do regarding this dungeon or regarding MMOs in general, the fact is that they released a trust system for people to do SB2 dungeons solo with. The system is in play, and it wouldn't make sense for no one to use it just because you think they shouldn't just because it's a MMO.
Cleared it the first time as a drk with trusts. Fell of platform within the first 5mins, tried it again, cleared it no issues.
Idk what OP is doing wrong but it's not a trust issue...
I'm pretty sure the Trust AI is generally meant to do a passable movement for clearing the content. It's not optimal (as they don't aoe mobs) but it is passable.
It mainly banks on you the player making up for the rest of it, so at the end of the day it does boil down to your actions. Your gear, you doing mechanics, and you dpsing.
DPS check in lvl80 dungeon??? What DPS check lol? You are in for a surprise if you ever try any Ex primal or raid...
The second boss in Amaurot has a DPS check when it comes in at the end of the fight. It charges "Burst" and if the cast completes I'm pretty sure its a wipe.
I'm not actually 100% certain if it outright wipes the party, as I've always killed it before it finishes, but I'm assuming it does since you have to burn it down before it completes it.
Right?
I'm not sure how one goes about failing it honestly but I guess its possible. Maybe Trusts are bad at it or something? Though Ryne/Y'Shtola seem to do a massive amount of single target damage so I'm not even sure about that. I'll have to level my Trusts and check it out myself I guess. lol
Mid tier Dancers can push about 7.7k DPS in fights like Titania EX. Granted, theyre probably ilvl 440ish average.
For the level 80 dungeon, you should be sitting at about 425-430ish average. You should not have an issue pushing 5k dps on Dancer, which for the trusts is more than enough to beat a dps check. This is the game telling you "You need to improve your play" if you cant beat the dungeon with NPCs designed to carry you through it. If you are still undergeared, then you may need to run Mt. Gulg or something again to get pieces you need.
