Wish it was available on undersized party even if it was double cost.

I'll break it down for you. That's the point. This is not an event where you are meant to get everything, this is an event fill time until shadowbringers to get some things you want, that are already obtainable in-game at arguably easier grinds (aside from the earrings).

I don't know what it is with people on this forum and literally being unable to detect a joke, or sarcasm, at this point it's actually getting crazy.

I detected it. It was lame. I explained further in my post that for a single OLD ZONE mount speed increase is 30 tokens, which is 30 tama-tara or 15 syrcus. You are the one that is assuming I ever said I wanted everything...

If it's easier to get the event items through their normal means, doesn't that make the intention of the event pointless as well? I dunno why you're rolling your eyes when you can't see from someone else's perspective...

I did 20 alliance raids today. They're actually really fast to do because they're pretty easy and a lot of people seem to be doing them so the queues are very fast.

The ONLY thing I want on the list is the Pegasus Mount as I never got it. I only have 3 so I got to do it 47 more times for some of the dungeons. Honestly why couldn't it be for EVERYTHING in DF.

I don't even care for the Earrings. They look horrible, plus I rather get the Odin gear set. Don't have that.

Only need one thing from the even the Pegasus mount. Think it be pretty easy to get that. For rest I already have it and I don't care about the earring that can't even see on my aura.

Only thing I have any interest in is the Pegasus mount, and I am not about to grind out for days getting 2-3 tomestones each time. I am going to pass on this whole event unless they raise the rewards or drop the prices about 2/3.

Oh trust me, I'm not even remotely advocating that people should run the MSQ for this event. It's not worth it in the slightest, especially when LotA/Syrcus almost insta-pop and last around 20 minutes tops while giving just one tomestone less.

You can run MSQ roulette and get 600 poes per day and 3 moogle tomes.

yay, another item to clog up our inventory.

This might be a good time to start leveling a tank. Instant queues on the low-level dungeons, and not a whole lot expected of you in terms of gear or skill there. A couple of runs a day would put you right around 50 tokens, enough to buy any one thing (except for the earrings). If there's only one thing you want from the event, that might be a good way to go about it.

Yep and as part of the roulette's package it's fine. They were calculating how long it'd take to get one reward via only MSQ roulette with the seeming impression that I was saying running the MSQ dungeons over and over again, and not part of just the standard one and done roulette, would be worth it.

I have had too many ct's for alliance raid roulette and far too many sub 50 for lvling ques. It is just bad exp and we don't need something like this create an even further demand for lower lvl dungeons and raids. I leveled my character to sixty trying to get him to 70 before stormbringers i should get 50-70 bare minimum. I should get void ark weeping city and dun scaith would it be so bad to put the rewards above lvl 50 dungeons and raids??

I just run Syrcus Tower. Its super fast, not that boring if you just switch jobs in between for the heck of it, and you get 2 memos each time. I run this one because in the three raids, its the one where mechanics can be ignored the most, except for one in Amon's fight. I got 30 in one afternoon (with a break to eat supper in between) so its not that tedious... and I find it better than Prae or Castrum, since you literally get two Syrcus runs in the time it takes to finish one Prae/Castrum run (so 4 memos instead of 3).
Althought I understand that some people may find it boring or whatnot :c

I am actually feeling this, the other raid queue times seem to be abnormally long now. I already got the pegasus, I'll work on other stuff later, but I needed some coins for my other classes scaevan gear!

Sitting through the MSQ cutscenes is not worth 3. Maybe 30. But not 3.

As tempting the pegasus mount looks, I lack the mental fortitude to grind nonstop.

I didn't even bother trying. You can get two Crystal Tower raids done in the time it takes to do one msq roulette. So that's 4 vs 3. If msq gave 5 then it might have been worth it.

I'm on 82 tomestones now. Namazu earring tomorrow :D

3/5/10 or even 2/4/8 but 1/2/3 is so rough

They issue is they did this waaaayyy too late. The grind should have been done in like
Late April, early May or something...Not right before the expansion comes...

This is how they get you to keep your sub in the time preceding Shadowbringers, it's a business tactic.

They had to choose my least favorite dungeons. Why not Brayflox, Haukke Manor, Aurum Vale, Sastasha? Those one I don't mind running over and over again.

I see a lot of stuff I want (mostly beast tribe mounts) but I just have no intrest in doing the event.

It's much less soul crushing to just do the daily beast tribe quests for their respective mounts. In all honesty it doesn't take that long.

they did time it a little strangely though, since a lot of people will be busy with finishing up Garo before 5.1 and the Gold Saucer event. So much grind, so little time. ;)

Youre not meant to get everything. Its mathmatically impossible secondly its easier to just get most of all the other stuff without trying to collect tomestones just do groups for bird farms and do beast tribe events for most all of it

The grind is boring. I do want the Pegasus mount and some of the minions so I have to do it. It's annoying because I log in, have to go do PvP at least once for garo event and then farm this too. Then we will be farming gold saucer in between the farms. I'll never finish my MSQ I was supposed to do at this point

Keep in mind that you'll likely get tomes from doing your normal leveling and alliance roulettes over the course of the month. Don't grind for the full amount of times you need now, or you'll end up with leftovers (which equate to wasted effort).

worth it for new players or returning players who don't have this stuff.

I am sure they were probably thinking the old players will help them, asked a friend he said it be easier to run foundation coins for peg mount than to run that many dungeons for just 1 stone.

I understand this is a matter of preference but personally I don't care to see any event designed specifically in a way that I can't reasonably obtain everything.

It doesn't have to be 20 minute events-I don't mind it being many hours (equation of time to acquire vs time event available), but there's a difference from what we have, as you say impossible, to being "reasonably complete-able" (not sure I'd personally say it's impossible but I would say it's not reasonable- imo).

Just rather not go down that road lol. Though like I said it's not unfathomable that someone else might think that's interesting choice, I however don't like the concept.

I don't have much interest in this event. The mounts are cool, but so is the unicorn that I already have.

besides the earrings nothing is only avaliable though the event. also I did like the event, it took me only 1 week ( and i dont play FFXIV 24/7 ) to get 174 totems - I was able to get the earrings, pegasus mount and 2 minions i was missing. Syrcus Tower is rly fast and easy totems.
