Lol best reason to vote kick someone. Walk tall fellow lala, stand proud!
I used to run as a Lala Monk (female). The static I was part of at the time, one of the members said it didn't matter if I got lost in the mechanics, they could always hear my character fighting above all the other noises. Once he pointed it out, I realized how loud I was while fighting. Could hear me clear as a bell.
Nothing came of it though, no one was mad, was just a comment. But yeah if some jerk wants to take his bad day out on the potato in the group, he needs to put the controller down and go cool off.
I'd report them.
Oh God what if you played as a Bard, lol
Bards are definitely the loudest. Just get the lollipop guild to help out.
I always loved playing WAR as lalafell, hmm, might try BRD as lalafell…
Anyways...

I don't even play with game sounds on when i'm doing dgns and stuff.
You should definitely report if you haven't already.
I was kicked for pulling out wrong MCH turret
But this is something else
Valid reason.
I'm sorry that happened, Little. I makes me sad that some people in this would are so hateful they have to invent new prejudices so they can keep hating.
As far as how I've been, I've been better. Stoopid FM.
Well to be fair, the majority of players are nice. We have a few buttheads but that's because they can say stuff without real life consequences.
No, it's not. But you already knew that.
Definitely report them. You have a a screenshot and can probably provide a time, location in the game, and names to help GMs find the logs. I'd think this would fall under purposely obstructing progression in the game (disruption), especially seeing you explaining to them that you can't help the noises your character makes on attacks.
So how bout just taking the L and moving on in your day? That's not an option?
Report them. You have it mentioned in chat and it's abuse of the kick button. They'll just keep doing it if no one makes them face the consequences for it.
well granted potato voice can be a bit annoying, one day i was crafting in lominsa and this one potato just stand beside me and spam laugh emoticon for like... 2 minutes nonstop, that laughing voice haunted me at night oh god.
but in your case it was not purpose so... just report them and move along? nothing going to happen to those people but at least reporting them will give you some way of "relief" i guess?
at least my friend has it worse than you (i think), he got kick because the tank want aoe focus class (he was monk at that time), how dumb is that? lol
Why kick the RNGesus sacrifice?
But for real, report them.
Honestly, I wouldn't have gone that far even if it was intentional....I would have just done this:

Problem solved.
I wouldn't have kicked someone for it, but some of the battle voices are really grating on the ears. SE can't just change their pitch, but they should at least rethink how frequently some DoW classes vocalize.
My boyfriend played a Lalafell for a while and also had a cute squealing voice. The /surprise emote was so cute. :3
It was sometimes a little annoying in dungeons to hear her voice all the time, but it was cute and funny at the same time.
Fortunately no one ever said anything. He even sometimes did /surprise to others, like when someone was afk or something. They usually just emoted back.
It's a difference to spam an emote over and over, and just doing some emotes here and there.
I'm actually quite baffled that at least one person agreed to kick you. I definitely would have said no, and would have left the dungeon after the kick went through because I rather not play with people like that, but well...
Did you report them for kicking you?
I want to hear these attack sounds for myself. What voice are you using?
Well we will see much more kicks like this coming up a lot more do to the wow community seams to be jumping over to this game and the community there is very bad . I'm running in to much ruder players laity then ever and most of them are all new players that act very rudely in dungeons .
Hopefully you reported that person for abuse of the vote kick theres a few people out there who really are that stupid and kick for stupid pointless reasons.
I would opt to teach but some people are unteachable. Lately just choose to not deal with them, so I just leave the party when they start ranting. I'd rather wait 30 minutes and then maybe get a good run than stay and help them out in any way. I used to play WoW myself back in the day and I remember alot of people where just stuck being entitled, self important little stains. Groups tend to form and end pretty quickly over there. Guild drama and such.
In response to the OP, report them. Getting kicked for a sound(s) is not a valid reason to kick someone, also shame on the other party members for voting to kick you.
To those claiming this is racist .... how? You can make any character sound annoying, especially the female ones. Unless there is more context that the person that started the kick, specifically stated it was because they were a Potato, it isn't racist.
Should have thought twice before picking a lalafel, lol.
All's well.
I hope that the perpetrators in question were punished or atleast warned. That's a pathetically stupid reason used to kick another player.
Is it the school holidays? it is half term here in the UK maybe a lot are children.
On another note I got slapped once for being a Puppet master in FFXI....thing was it was a low noob in a random subligar that wasn't even that good and I proceeded to watch him get killed by running through from Jeuno to Qufim! I stepped over him lol Just another troll. I also got raged at in copperbell low dungeon once, he shouted "BARD LEAVE THE GAME" it was because the sumoners pet was attacking the slimes or something but he had no idea it was the summoners pet. I kept quiet I have played a long time the poor summoner finally said it was her pet and I said its fine he is just a knob. I felt sorry for them, the community can be horrible at times :(
I understand your sentiment.
Last week I was waiting for a Palace of the Dead Queue to pop, which took close to 15 minutes (odd hours)
During that time, there were 2 people constantly /slap spamming all lalafell around Quarymill and uttering the words "All lalafells should just die".
Sufficient to say these are not the kind of people we need in our community. I just reported them for harrasement, cause couldn't even read FC chat due their spam.
I was kicked before bc 2 people didnt like my rotation (was still learning Ninja) and I was able to provide MANY exchanges of dialogue of these people directly attacking me, telling me they hated me, that I ruined their day, that I'm stupid for not knowing a class I've spent very little time playing etc, in a report to a GM.
So I'm saying, I 100% agree if the person is getting directly harassed to report the person. In OP's example (after context was provided), it appears the offender was under the assumption that OP was trolling, so the issue is pretty tricky for me to navigate.
My only issue is what I bolded. What if they said nothing and silently kicked? Doesn't every player have a right to not like everything SE gives us? Disclaimer: I wont never play a Roe because my own preferences, but I wouldnt ever kick them for it. I understand that "harassment is harassment and should be reported", but in OP's case, they both seem to believe they're being harassed.
Yea no, every community has its terrible players and FF14 is no exception. I have played WoW on and off for a long time since vanilla and its player base is no worse or better than many others. There are plenty of exceptionally rude people in this community already.
Also on topic report those lalafell hating players >:O
