Why is the majority of the content in the game not ilv capped???

No.... I know exactly what I mean, it's you missing the whole point...

Just because you add a ilv cap to content more towards the ilv that it was designed to be, doesn't make it more challenging... it makes it as intended... at the very most it only makes it as challenging as it was from the start. (Do you understand this?) "IF" I was asking for content to be harder than what it was intended to be from the start then that's asking for it be more challenging.

There's a huge difference between steamrolling through content being 80-100 ilv over vs doing them more towards what it was designed for only being 0-30 ilv over. (ilv needs to vary on the content as some are easier/harder than others)

Also when coming up with a solution, you also can't just dismiss all players as some players (not me) need some extra ilv over the required amount of entry to ease players into clearing them without it being too difficult for them but at same time players shouldn't have too much ilv where it ruins the content/fight of what it was designed to be which is why I've stated many times there needs to be a ilv balance. Currently the game does not have this balance only some dungeons which you can clearly see in duty finder which have the ilv sync icon on them.

No, nobody is doing them because they're EX/Savage content that responsible players know to come prepared for, but people in Duty Finder queue for them thinking they can come in blind and get easy clears because they're old content. Those of us who roulette into EX primals and don't just leave immediately are burdened with typing out a novel to explain the mechanics, which promptly get ignored; and how dare we be so elitist as to suggest that people should /partyfinder their EX primals even if they want to do them syncked, because party finder is only for elitists and cowards who can't beat it syncked.

If you want to add an iLv cap to each of those fights, fewer of us will be willing to stay and deal with the even bigger mess that each run will become, and then 0/10 roulette EX primal runs will succeed instead of the roughly 3/10 that succeed now.

This is why content doesn't have an iLv cap unless it's Ultimate, and Ultimate doesn't experience the problem because (1) it's not in roulette and (2) people tackling ultimate understand what they're signing up for and don't come in blind unless the party specifically allows it.

The developers need to go through each dungeon/raid/trial from each expansion and find the right balance of min ilv and max ilv.

My dude, your OP was literally complaining about content being too easy because the sync system syncs us so high. We can’t have difficult content because people complain about it. We can’t have stricter item level syncs because people will complain that they actually have to press buttons more so than usual. If you think they won’t, you’re fooling yourself. Each of the content I listed had periods when they were relevant where people complained about “difficulty”—and, even now, some of those content still kill people despite the overbearing and generous syncs.



I think you missed your own point. That, or you’re doing a poor job of explaining it.

I kind of consider myself a casual player and I prefer my experiences to not be too frustrating. I'm actually happy the dungeons are easier/smoother?

For example, Aurum Vale is one of the hardest unfriendly dungeons for beginners and wish it was a tad bit easier.

As much as I would like for content to be synced correctly so mechanics actually matter, I just had a run of LotA where people messed up multiple fights causing a handful of wipes. As nice as it would be for content to stay relevant as ilevel increases, some people are just beyond stupid and can't do the most basic stuff in the game.
