You do know some /em work in PvP right? how creative are you with commands?

For the last Fall back and Flagging works for me when people don't listen. Then again not sure how Players are in Leviathan, Balmung for most part seem to understand.

Emotes don't appear in the chatlog, so unless someone's paying attention to your character (I'm a lala so even worse) then that won't work.

And Fall back is usually when it's to late, I'm saying How would you tell someone to not get baited BEFORE it happens. If you're already baited you already put yourself as well as our healer who had to rush over and save you out of position

Worry about your self and the choices you make. IF using Discord makes you feel better do so. If people don't use it you can't force them. Sorry we are all on the same boat and you have to understand everyone has a different opinion on how the game should be played. Every one has their own perspectives on what is happening yet few are competent enough to notice their faults. It's human nature so go with flow on what YOU can do, and stop trying to focus on things that you have no control over.

"Worry about yourself" Am I mistaken or is PvP a teambased game? How can I worry about myself when I want to win? If I didn't want to win then I'd only worry about myself.

Well as much as I would love to give you those answers I'm sure if you stopped and test a few of them you could answer your self how to make it work in your favor. It's all about creativity sorry if your a Lala but there are some that can grab attention. Eureka for example helps, Zantetsuken, is another.There are a few of them. O well it's like beating a dead horse. To finish this conversation you have a few choices. Adjust to it or waste your time complaining about it. Become a leader by what you can do or become a follower and keep wasting your energy on things you have no control over.

/sigh By worry about yourself I mean use the tools that work for you. Worry about what you can do to make the team work. Once again what can you do as an individual to turn the tide, to become a leader if no one else is willing to..Your going to get bad apples, sprouts will come, how you adjust is up to you.

I see we're not done with the strawmen. You can keep dodging the point all you fancy, but your response has literally nothing to do with what I said. Let's try again. The chat restrictions puts players not using third party programs at a disadvantage. Your excuse doesn't change the fact it's a silly solution met with near unanimous disdain on the forums. Telling someone "get creative" is utterly asinine. Yes, it what is supposed to be a fast pace game style, I'm forced to jump through hoops to hopefully coordinate an attack. That doesn't bog down the game at all. Once again, you'll never see such convoluted systems in e-sports. It's quite telling more and more high level Feast players are outright quitting.

They ruined PVP for me when they tried to streamline actions down to MOBA-level values while still keeping their atrociously-slow GCD. MOBAs work with such limited action bars mostly because of the twitch-type nature of the gameplay (stutter-stepping, skillshots, last-hitting etc). GCDs and tab-target are the antithesis of that.

Healing blows since they took away most of my defensives/peels. Melee blows because it's an endless loop of animation-glitching as you frantically try to hit your target that the server is consistently pinging as being "out if your range" despite on your screen the player being practically in your hitbox. Tanking might be fun, idk, but from the sounds of this thread it doesn't seem that way.

Seriously, screw this new "PVP".

There's only so much one person can do, this is a teambased game as I say again... the ONLY role you can carry on is healer (and even then you're hoping your dps can actually kill something and not split dps)

If this is what you got from that thread, you need to read again. Allow me to not mince words here: The truth of the matter is SE has established a pretty terrible rapport with their own PvP community, from ignoring feedback in the very forum they encourage it in, to making big changes with barely any forewarning or player feedback considered. There's no "cupcake generation" to be found here, and don't you dare try to trivialize it as such. Read the thread. It was 3 months and 40 pages of negative feedback and suggestions for better alternatives before they responded, asking for suggestions and encouraging more feedback. . . Now we're nearly a year later and 93 pages, and STILL no valid response to the continued negative feedback. More than fair? Yeah, right.

And if you think PvPers are too delicate and don't like change, you have absolutely no clue where you are or who you're talking to. All we ever wanted was change. That's why we gave feedback. That's why we encouraged people to try it rather than buy into whatever bad PR was continuously spread by players that largely scorned and didn't try/want to try PvP, however true or untrue it was. 4.0 PvP isn't terrible, but it's incredibly watered down from what we all played and enjoyed - perhaps in an attempt to make a mass appeal. And you say to just adjust? First off, those of us who already played hardly need to adjust. What made us good then, makes us incredible in the face of all the new blood coming in who don't know what we know. And that too is one of the bigger issues: People DON'T know what it was like, so to them anything after 3.5 PvP is a success. But to us who'd been there all along, all we've seen is changes we didn't want, and still no acknowledgement of any feedback given.

I suppose however that if you could simply make the statements you did before, you really aren't aware of this. For that, I highly encourage you to go and read around these forums. Don't just look at what was said, look at when it was said. Then look for dev/community rep responses. Do that, then try to say the things you've said. Because currently, your statements trying to validate the actions (or lack thereof) SE's taken are quite laughable and uninformed.

I also want to point that that the slow responses are by no means limited to PvP, either. Players with accounts locked to the European region have been screwed over by both promotional campaigns orchestrated so far. It took months to get a response despite a similarly large thread surrounding that particularly issue and even then the response has yet to be followed up.

It's possible that the hands of the community representatives are tied very tightly, though.

The pvp system did indeed go down the shithole once the new system was implemented. While the system was complex they could've find ways to clear the hotbars without resorting to the stupid decision of dumb it down to 4 buttons. Also, the fact that anyone who has a class at lvl 30 can participate ruins everything even further. We have idiots who just queue into ranked pvp with lvl 30 to 50 characters, characters who don't even have gear in them and they don't have any clue of how to play them (because, and this is probably the biggest problem, 4 buttons is still too difficult for most of players). Today I lost over 10 games in a row and ended up getting demoted because I got teamed 7 times with this dumb lvl 54 healer who had no clue how to play the game. Yet there he was getting matched with diamond players and ruining everything.

Season 1 was actually an enjoyable experience. This season whoever is the worst experience this game has to offer.

And btw, the name of the healer was Yui Hirasawa from Leviathan. I know public shaming is bad and it might get me in trouble but for gods sake, if you are reading this stop queuing into ranked pvp just to lvl up your character, you are terrible and you are ruining the experience for those who actually want to win. You have options like practice 8v8 and Frontlines.
If you have the bad luck of getting this guy in your team be ready for a bad time, there is nothing you can do about it anyway.

who cares about going vs SE policy, if this is a good method to make them stop/train b4 ruining every1 experience, it's all good. Also it seems SE is giving lots of warnings to veteran players than new ppl. Really shit thinking of SE.

It is incredibly infuriating actually trying to get ranking while there are just so many people that queue up without knowing what their class even does. Like I'm sure that Broil spam the SCH is doing is soooooo much more important than healing the DPS who's very badly hurt right next to the healer. If you want to level a new class, do stuff that would actually matter. Like, oh I dunno what's that big thing we go into every day to progress and get stuff... DUNGEONS? Don't have gear? There's Palace. Hell, even Frontlines and 8v8 are better than ruining other people's attempts at actually being good at PvP.

This season just outright sucks. It's ridiculously easy to ruin anyone's enjoyment or progress, which makes the entire thing a joke. And if you're a person who gets off on doing that, you need help.

This seems more like a matchmaking problem than anything. A lot of games use a fairly wide method of grouping in order to get games through faster and that seems to be the one FF14 has been using. Only now, it is being used in ranked PvP, which creates problems because it is not considering skill level. This is generally the solo vs dynamic queue problem that shows up in a lot of team games. They simply need to make it so that your ranking is weighted and determines who you group with, but that would probably take some time to implement. Queue times will also increase significantly too.

I'd rather a longer queue time with quality teammates then shorter queue times with horrible teammates.
