i just realized how bad it must be for new players with the new CD increase.
especially since they will not have mounts until level 20...
As an DRK its the least of my concern its a buff to tp users and a nerf to non tp users that's all. As player tho they have robbed all my classes of there former identity or just outright made them useless :/
What I find even dumber is that normal sprint doesn't exist in PVP. You have to waste an ability slot to have it. smh

to add, this is of no benefit to non-TP users in any way, shape, or form.
to explain in detail, casters and healers never used TP anyway, so why should the cost TP matter exclusively for sprint to them? now, sprint is on a 60s CD and still allows the player to only sprint for 20s.
in conclusion, healer and caster mobility was nerfed to the ground, while TP-based melee and ranged attacks were buffed.
im requesting that the devs keep the CD as it is now, but allow us to sprint for at least 40-30s. that sounds more fair.
It really wasn't at all. My paladin and my ninja would quite frequently make use of sprint. Sprint behind zurvan after the broken seal sprint to the big donuts to evade proper wind sprint like to the gnosis head in Sophia cos I'm way over there.
It really wasn't that bad at all. Nothing a quick invigorate wouldn't solve...
Casters needed it more. Because they're locked in position. Melee can smack that last hit of combo while already moving out of that air. Casters either cast or dodge can't do both.

Either reduce the cool down to 45s, or increase duration to 30s, it's that simple
It is a buff, since my tank couldn't really use it at all before now. Running out of TP is something you do not want your PLD to do.
I wish they would of not doubled the cool down from 30s to 60s but I am getting used to this de-expansion since there are nerfs to everything.
My friend and I level as a PLD/WHM combo and while they are ecstatic about the change seeing as previously Sprint was mostly a button they accidentally pressed at inopportune moments, as a WHM it feels like a nerf. It gave a lot of flexibility to casters during dodge heavy mechanics that would otherwise have severely limited their up time due to our inability to cast and move at the same time and as a healer in general, it meant I could sometimes manage to get off one more heal before I had to book it. That could be the difference between life and death in some situations. I have no issue with them making the ability accessible to TP users but its rather irritating that the classes that really needed it the most have to suffer for it.

Complaints complaints complaints thats all I see lately, I'm glad for the new change as now Tanks and melee can now use the sprint and to be honest if you were meant to be able to sprint constantly the Dev's would have baked the skill into the character, If it was me I'd have removed it because you're all acting like spoilt children lately.
if the changes to sprint or switched to how they were previously, I'd rather it just affect gathering and building classes.
I think what they could've done is to change the CD base on the maps, if you're in an instance 60cd sounds reasonable, whereas if you're outside I believe it should be shorter, similar to skills in pvp having longer CD
I love the Sprint it is now. Tanks finnaly can use it.

Seems pretty simple to me. Arguing one side vs the other is silly. Most DoW will like the change only because they don't have to sacrifice damage. Everyone else won't like change because it's a waste of an otherwise unused resource (TP). Elementary my dear Watson! use above solution, all peeplz happy.
Best change of the expansion imo, it's now usable across all roles, sure it took a cooldown hit as a result but in the end it allows for a great gap closing / getting out of fire ability for everyone.
For battle, I understand the 60s cooldown.
But on maps, to run, to swim, gather...
Extend the duration to 30s please...
im sorry, but there is just too many people that are too focused on what the change has to offer to classes that regularly use TP.
YES, we all can agree that this is a great buff to TP users. However, the problem is that this exclusively benefits TP users and nothing else. at all.
in terms of casters, short distance travel, mount restricted zones, and new players without mounts, this is a huge NERF!!
the devs need to increase sprint's duration to 30-40 seconds so that literally everyone can utilize the ability.
As a melee, I feel like I already had plenty sufficient mobility in combat. And in dungeons, I always wait until after combat to pop it for the double duration (or, the old amount). It's a good thing DRK is already dead to me, I guess, or I'd really be feeling it there.
And then on casters... or in town... It hurts, to put it simply. Quite a bit.
As a tank/melee, I'm really glad with this change.

Why don't they just lower the cooldown out of combat? Wouldn't that be a fair compromise?
On the whole, I love the change. It's great being able to sprint through dungeons, as well as never having to worry about wasting my TP in the overworld. It's pretty rough in towns, though.
Having different cooldowns in and out of combat might be tricky when entering/exiting combat in the midst of that cooldown. But I do think that they could give DoL classes a trait that reduces its cooldown back to its former level.
Why couldn't they have just kept the original "cooldown" (roughly the amount of time it took to regen TP to use it again)?
It's a fantastic addition. I can finally sprint in dungeons as my Machinist without having to waste invigorate
