Any wonder why a more bestial race seems so unlikely? While all have the right to voice their opinion, people seem to forget where they are. One wouldn't buy tickets to a rock concert and complain not enough Chopan was featured. There are many games that cater to more monstrous variants of playable races as an option for those that wish it, this however is not those games. Many long time FF fans enjoy that very aspect about the series.
It is a complete shame that the female AuRa didn't adhere to the concept art (particularly the Xaela), as it would have have added a much needed mature, fierce, powerful, female option along side Elezen, Highlander, and Roegadyn females.
While Viera is not my definition of fierce, the fact that have been portrayed as elegant, mature/ serious, and relentless in past FF, just feels like a missed opportunity for 4.0. I will support their inclusion in FFXIV, they have been asked for by the community since FFXI, many of those same players are here asking for the option even now after nearly a decade.
