It's kind of a buyers high. You get that initial good feeling of having obtained the item (and instantly), then it fades off and you're looking for that next fix. Probably also why they spread out the mount releases so people have that itch they need to scratch.

Crazy idea -> free fenrir red as christmas gift during event :D ( i know it will never happen...)

They could nerf the normal Fenrir to 500k MGP and add the Red Fenrir as the new 1MIL MGP reward?

Why do people keep asking for stuff added to mogshop?? To lazy to farm mfp for it instead rather just throw thier wallet at the game???

As i see all other colored mount .Each time both are not got in same way :/

I dont think this red fenrir will be in gold saucer like the blue one ( well , maybe it can change and we get it from gold saucer).

Maybe a chance to get it in game in other way like the other pagasus or sadly cash shop like other colored Zu .

I would like just to get info about this mount to know what to do....

I would not be surprised if the red fenrir mount becomes a cash shop mount.

When the fat moogle came out a while ago, I threw my lot in with the pro-cash shop camp, but after the Chinese outfits, now the Korean outfits, and two threads this week asking for things in the cash shop, I'm getting a bit concerned. Part of what I liked about our cash shop is that it is relatively small, and relatively cheap for the most part with a couple of high-end things for the whales. But now there are several $20.oo, $30.oo mounts? $18.oo glamour pieces?

The cash shop should never be the first or only place an item like a mount lands. Fat moogle should have been obtainable in game first with a recolor in the cash shop later (and I bought one, so it's not that I'm jealous or anything). Red Fenrir should have a home in game and be added to the CS much later, if at all. I'm 50/50 on the regional outfits because they were always designed for the CS, but that doesn't mean I want them to keep adding to that inventory of CS exclusive items.

Please don't ask SE to put things in the CS unless there is a reason they should be there and not in the game! Think about the message you are sending to the development team!

YES. Because I have shit luck and I have NOT gained over 8k mgp since I've been playing this game. So YES I'm NOT a fan of that grind. I'm not lazy, but horrible luck with RNG in most of this game so I will ALWAYS vote store first. Cause F RNG. There's your answer from my experience. Nothing to do with being lazy, stop being so damn judgemental. What? I could say people complaining are just BROKE. But that's wrong and disrespectful.

I honestly don't care where they put this mount be it in game MGP/ PVP Cash shop as long as it is not a time sensitive mount. I love that PvP want exclusive mounts for PvPing the only issue with that is only the top 10% get these mounts and only for a short time. With Cash shop we are paying alot for mounts lately so I really hope it goes in game but in the end yeah I know i'll wind up buying it if it is in CS because well MGP is slow going for people who don't use the resources of the gold saucer but even then I would still work those gates to get it if that's where it shows up. Either way people will complain my only hope is that it will be obtainable by all in the long run whether it be grind or cash.

What challenges? I only know about the ticket crap. But it doesn't matter cause I stopped doing and dealing with mgp a bit ago. The point stands I got so pissed with the RNG there I don't deal with ANY of that content. The rng there is enough for me to say fuck that. If you ever get the chance, you should look at your in-game challenge log. There are numerous weekly challenges that give you over 8k MGP as a reward and not a single one of them requires any luck.

How to get a front page topic on the official forums that goes on for over a dozen pages: mention the cash shop in the title.

Really? Says who? You have a better reason? I explained why earlier. I'm not looking for any answers NOW cause I'm over it and rather pay for something then deal with grindwalls or rng period. But everyone is only looking at that one comment and turning a blind eye to what I said at the end. And that was... SE should do both. At the same time. So EVERYBODY gets the item how they want to get it. Why does NOONE want to talk about THAT part? Yes there's people who want to spend their money. And there's others who want to grind. Anything but a PVP reward, even if it's cash shop. The 30 minutes to 1 hour of work I do to earn real money is more enjoyable than PVP.

Because that's how F2P games work, and FFXIV is not a F2P game (people can say it's F2P all they want, but 98% of the content is in the game itself, about a small smidgen of content is outside of the game, if you can even call it content).

Cash shop is like... barely worse than limited pvp award.

If it was pvp currency? That would be one thing. But it's not. It's about being best in a system that is rigged. People win trade and then stop playing to keep their high rank just like people do in triple triad. It's a racket.

Eh, I hope it's not added to the cash shop. I worked my butt off to earn the original Fenrir mount before 3.0. Granted, the MGP gains have only increased, but you still have to put in some considerable effort and dedication to get one. So, releasing a red version in the cash shop would make me sad.

That said, that would be pretty comparable to the situation with the Bennu mount (from the cash shop) and the identical Zu mount that you obtain via the airship sectors. Again, the Zu mount requires some time and dedication, while the Bennu is just in the cash shop... but the Bennu has the T12 music...

Speaking of which, if they give the red Fenrir special music and those of us who worked our butt off for the original Fenrir don't get it... then I might explode. :O

No to the cash shop. Just make it in game.

Except that few weeks, aether is pretty active so that's hard to just stand away and keep the ranking at the same time

Btw 3.45 updates something called rank decay for ppl stop que to keep ranking points

So, a lot of your posts kind of come off as the "ME ME NAO" mentality. If you truly are one of those people who could be called Karma's Toilet Paper (I know a few, it's kind of depressing how bad their luck in life is) then I feel for you.

Now, to address cammi's key point: Although your method of conveyance is a bit choppy (and the reason people aren't responding to the key point), I definitely feel that different options for acquisition of things is a good idea. Many things are locked behind the paywall of the Mog Station, or an extremely grindy and/or RNG system in-game. Sure, not everyone wants to or is capable of doing all content, and especially challenging content should keep unique rewards. However, some rewards would be better suited to have options for acquisition, or as cammi has stated: pay or play. I would personally suggest a slight difference in name or appearance to denote the difference between the versions, but otherwise having options is good (especially for items locked behind content that either is gone like seasonal events or impossible to participate like certain modes of PvP).

Just my $0.02 on this little portion of the discussion. Don't get me started on the Mog Station debate though.

Bleh. The way I see it, SE might as well make it so that cash shop items can be purchased with a special currency that you can grind for in-game. Much like tomestones.
Or pay a premium if you want it fast and pay with RL cash.
