I think you misunderstood my post. I will always prioritize crit over spell speed, so long as I am avoiding determination. It my be a stat weight DPS loss, but it's a heal gain, which is a dps gain.

Maybe because no one wastes time calculating the best healing stats for a DPS? I am not saying DPS on healers is useless, it's a nice extra but in a trinity game like FFXIV, it should not have the weight people are giving it.
In the end, I don't care if I have the perfect stats, I don't do savage (no interested and no desire for a static) and never had problems solo healing in ex trials.
Everyone is free to meld what they want and if people want to have the "perfect" melded build, well congratulations. I am not telling anyone to follow what I do but neither will I meld in a way I am not comfortable with.
I seriously wish they had never introduced tome/raid gear melds. Crafted armor was for melds, it should have stayed that way. And actually, being open minded to more possibilities than the fotm build is what gives things variety and "makes the world seem less flat" :)
Just because people don't obey what you consider perfect doesn't make their build less valid, don't you think? For me ACC has yet to make me heal better. Doesn't do that? Too bad, bye bye!
You sound exactly like a mom that's been told vaccines don't cause Autism, when she read that they did.
[Very hostile towards anything that might actually help you. Information is a tool, you can choose to make an educated decision so long as you can find a rationale behind it.
Example: "I do not enjoy DPSing as a healer, but I do love the challenge of solo healing, so I don't need the accuracy, but I understand other healers have a choice as well."]
I rather sound like that than a kid that had it's favourite toy criticized :)
Also, I am sorry I did not sugarcoat my words in a way that makes them PC digestible. I vow to... still not give a crap in the future. If you want to take what I said as hostile, be my guest. Have a nice day!
Well, I am happy for you, enjoy!
As others have noted, this is for DPS only. When taking into account healing you need to consider:
With that information, we can assume:
- Spell Speed does not affect your pets cast time, but theoretically does increase whispering dawns HoT
- DET is a flat linear boost to healing and damage, and with each increase becomes less effective
- CRT quadratically increases both healing and damage, but increases are less predictable
- SCH CRT-Lo is not taken into account in Dervy's DPS only calculations
- CRT and DET both affect your pets heals
- that DET will remain relatively static in its stat weight from DPS to heals
- that CRT will increase it's value (mostly due to adloquium)
- that spell speed will decrease in its value (due to a significant amount of healing power gaining 0 benefit from it)
With that, I pretty much stand by my previous stat priority, with minor changes to weights (assumed balanced healing and DPS):
WD: from between 6 and 9 to 9.128
MND: 1
CRT: from 0.3 to 0.3
SPS: from 0.25 to 0.25
DET: from 0.08 to 0.19
The only information I was trying to express was that spell speed beats determination by miles. Crit will always be king to SCH [Those crit Lustrates are just about as delicious as crit adlos!]
For sure, I guess I just wanted to add my points and it felt like it logically followed yours ;)
I agree with you, that it's important to consider how having higher CRT can proc more SPS boosts from your pet, which makes CRT even better for balanced heal/DPS
Gotta say that I entirely disagree that a critted lustrate is anywhere near as nice as a crit adlo, especially with deploy :P Though, all crits are nice :)
