I can only get 24 Acc from any other weapon, while I get 120 Accuracy from my SCH Anima, it will be BiS when it gets upped next in 3.45. To me anyways. :D

All I'm going by is how paint-by-numbers this expansion has been. Virtually everything has been an exact mirror of how things went in 2.x. While it's true there is no proof the pattern will repeat, there is still a pattern they're following and it can be predicted. Mythology and Philosophy were released in 2.0, which is the only deviation from 3.0's Law and 3.05's Esoterics. We then get Soldiery in 2.2, and Lore in 3.2. Finally, we get Poetics in 2.4, and Scripture in 3.4. The prediction is Scripture will be the final tome variant, because of how closely this followed in line with 2.x.

Raids?

BCoB per the wiki was released in 2.0. Gordias in 3.01. SCoB in 2.2, Midas in 3.2; FCoB in 2.4, Creator in 3.4.
Labyrinth in 2.1, Syrcus 2.3, WoD 2.5; Void Ark 3.1, Weeping City 3.3--it's a safe bet we're getting Void Ark Chapter 3 in 3.5 based on how closely they're mirroring well...everything major so far.

Admittedly the relic weapons are one of the few things not being copied near verbatim. I will concede there. But there are patterns they follow very strictly to as seen so far.

In the end it's up to the devs and not us. And I know Yoshi has at points emphasized he wants the raid gear to be the best, but actions speak louder than words, and the action of giving shit stats to the raid weapons speaks louder than any number of interviews with him saying "I want raid gear to be the best."

I'll concede--the relic weapon finally caught up to a weapon released in 2.2 at patch 2.38, and less than a month before vastly superior i135 weapons were released in 2.4.

This always makes me think they actually have no real clue as to which stats benefit the Jobs the most. To me this seems like a bad dice roll.
I mean, I can obviously tell variety in stats is not what they are aiming for since 3 out of 4 Alexandrian accessories for casters are the exact same Stats (Crit/Det). At least I had the feeling they cared what stats gear and weapons ended up with in their entire sets and it felt like there was good variety in it. But 3.4 made me realize, they don't give a single fuck. Roll the dice and be done with it.

It is rather frustrating. While the 275 weapons will be better than the rest due to higher WD and main stat, the difference is not very high due to the poor stat choices for most of the 275 weapons.

I would really love it if either secondary stats were randomized, or we had some sort of choice among them.

Just have to say it's a prestige thing, part of the reward and reason why endgame content was the stuff of envy that this genre was once renowned for. There's really no circles on that matter. Endgame bragging rights were once centered around having the best stats AND best looking gear (less subjective of a statement back then). Though the stats thing is arguable, since there usually weren't much options on the matter.

This is not a negative remark btw. It's just how it is in this genre. Likewise however, what's going on with endgame raiders is apparently as intended by the devs, which isn't very unsurprising if you reflect on the vast number of examples previously. The game is not going to change for the significantly small minority that want it to. It'll change if the devs want it to.

Worth noting, that once again BRD and MCH get arbitrarily screwed over here. The 275 Bow and Gun have identical Weapon damage ( and worse stats for MCH's weapon) than their i270 counterparts.

Read the previous pages and you see the people making it into circles. I'm not interested in being roped into that BS.

Reason is simple as they stated that relics will always be the best as they are for job specific and upgradable and those are not.Yes one worked hard to get Alexander savage wep and that is bragging rights but not necessarily the best same with gear. I whm and scripture gear has bad stats but my lore gear mostly is best ilv is moote you have to gear with stats that compliment your job. Spell speed is not that important for whm but piety and determination is like on my 240 relic you can choose secondary stats our choice but the hyper has piety and details and should be carried over. I see so many put on let's say 250 ilv gear to get in ex or raids but they lack in dps or tanks lack in hate and damg control and yet they ilv 250 and can't figure out how they are doing poorly even with good rot and high ilv gear it's because se gives us choice but they have gear made for specific jobs and people want the new gear I'm cool but in reality they are not. It's all about choosing the right stats and that helps the team

Why would non raiders have the best weapons if they need it to do the dungeons ? :p
