1200 days Veteran Reward

personally unless they are going to give me more storage for the 50th outfit they have given me...id rather have a mount.

They have recently been implementing the ability to store veteran rewards right after release in the Armoire, so that's something... but I agree ;-; we need more storage if they're giving us more items.

oh good to know. I think at some point they HAVE to give us more storage because from day 1 to the next expac...i...i just cannot keep anymore cool stuff!!! It becomes much more problematic as they add new classes.

At this point I don't care with gear. I REALLY NEED MORE INVENTORY SPACE~!!

Honestly I was never a huge fan of this mount to begin with. Like people have said the speed of it in Eorzea might make it look a little awkward and it can't fly. However they do make a flying turtle mount. Why can't we give the motorcycle a messed up exhaust so that it puffs out smoke. That way it can't go fast ha. Joking aside though, if they are going to end the Veteran Rewards with something I think a prize package would be awesome. I have warmed up to the idea of this mount. Mainly because its an awesome throwback item that we are all pretty familiar with. But really i'd be happy with any past FF vehicle/monster/creature/even person!

He said the 14th veteran reward is the last veteran reward . That was all he said at this PLL about finishing veteran rewards. Why would it be the end? Will The new veteran reward or something alternative start? He didn't mention about such questions.
This was not big surprise for me, because I thought veteran reward would finish soon. For newer players, it becomes harder to get the latter veteran rewards. So veteran reward is not effective for them to continue playing. In fact I saw some complain about the length in forum recently.
I wish they gonna make something similar like a second veteran reward which start from 4.0 though.

Well those two will be the exclusive outfits for the fanfest so they wont be part as a veteran reward. :(

We got The Warrior Of Light (FFI) from CT.
Firion (FFII) is a veteran reward.
FFIII has the famous onion knight, that we're seeing presetend in helmets.
We got some stuff from Cecil (FFIV) - helmet und circlet - as HW-CE-bonus.
FFV and FFVI are indeed missing, I believe?

So it doesnt hold true that only FFVIII is missing, but we got decent stuff from games before VII :P

To answer why they dont let us pay for more than 180: I would guess it is to avoid complains (or even law sues) if anything about the game changes (or even, the twelves might safe us, even shut down) they wont have to deal with unhappy customers, telling them they want their money back because this isnt what they've paid for.

That would be me, though I certainly could have articulated it better. Didn't intend to "complain" but more lament the length of veteran rewards if they kept going. Anywho, I've felt a good compromise would be either a free month's sub or maybe even an item of your choosing from the Cash Shop. My thinking there is not everyone cares about these glamours, but it's a safe bet most would like an extra sub or CS item; Fatansias are popular for a reason.

Quite the shame that it'll take that long to get the last outfit to begin with and nothing in between (which is the worst slap to the face imo).
We'd actually be missing a few character outfits namely Cecil, Bartz (his might appear if we ever get dancer haha), Terra/Locke/Celes (it's usually Terra that represents the entry though) and Vaan/Ashe/Basch/Balthier/Penelo/Fran (hard to say there are a few possibilities, most likely Vaan/Penelo with their redesigned skypirate outfits). Although the FFXII entry could be released with a crossover when the remake hits.

I hope they reconsider having no other veteran reward for a whole year and maybe give gold feathers each month or something after it...

I support that statement :) but make it dye able. Nothing worse than waiting for an outfit you truly like and than it's some weird color.

Rinoa's outfit please~ it is a good memories

I think they should give us a choice of rewards.

A mount, minion , outfit or housing item etc Just a few choices is all.

Could appeal to far more people if we could choose our preferred item. I usually don't go crazy over their outfits....a choice would be cool but not gonna worry about any reward tbh.

I don't think it would go well cause people would complain that they can't get everything. It also reminded me too much of that Deus Ex "augment your pre order" shenanigans where you could only pick one reward per tier.

Yeah that probably wouldn't fly with a lot of the playerbase. If you can only get A, B, or C, but not all 3: people will complain. I don't see it happening unless you get the choice of which one you get first, followed by getting the other two in the next veteran reward milestones.

How is it unfair? If you've subscribed for 4 years and someone else only for 4 months, is it fair that they get all the things you already paid for via your lengthy subscription? No, or course not.

You're not arguing for fairness, you're arguing against fairness. Fairness would be telling new player that they can achieve the same rewards a veteran of 4 years has, by playing for 4 years. It's patently unfair to hand out those loyalty rewards like candy because people don't want to wait or prove their loyalty via a long subscription.

As for this idea about catching up, new players can achieve the current rewards by subbing long enough to earn them. By then, loyal customers will have other, newer rewards that players more recent to the game will in turn earn when they've subscribed as long. Framing this as something to catch up on completely misses the point of loyalty rewards.

I don't actually expect to see that until they decide to release the Gunblade Job that was talked about back in 2.0. However, they could be ages since it is either going to end up being released in the Garlean Expansion or some future expansion beyond 4 years from now or never.

I doubt that they'd hold Squall's attire back for that reason since we already have Lightning's gunblade.
