I don't think that's actually necessary. Just because you don't see female "things" on certain monsters it doesn't mean they are male in the first place. That's a social construction and honestly it tells more about you than about the game. A lot of people don't even attribute sex gender to 90% of the monsters unless they have human physique, like Succubus or the armoured monsters at The Vault.

What you're asking for is essentially "female" aesthetics or vanity for monsters to distinguish male from female when we don't even know if there's a need to be male/female when it comes to procriating species. I can't tell if a wild cat is male or female unless I see genitalia, and trust me, I don't want SE to add visible monster genitalia in this game by any means.

Jesus, they look so stupid with breast plates. I liked the fact that they weren't steretypical female, lol. Like in Wild Star, the female are taller than the males (which makes the male Aurin so cuuuuute.)
I like MMOS, and games in general, not afraid to make the women as weird and gross as the men. xD

What the OP is trying to say is that there should be more monsters in the game instead of the same ones. even the quest monsters are the same as the regular monsters. Shit if you just make different color palate for em, like gradations of dark green would work. And I think what he means is that we should make different character palate for a female monster like a Flying Eye, except a girl version called watever, Lady jackie Eye for a feminine monster in Haukke Manor with the other Flying Eyes. Of the sametime type with lipstick.

Plus.. just because something is female doesn't mean it needs to be pink. Not every female likes pink <.<

I mean, if you think of monsters as just being regular animals, it's not immediately evident as to who is male and who is female..

It would be a neat feature to have though. Kind of like how there are gender differences in Pokemon, though I don't know how that would tie into FFXIV's mechanics.
