Palace of the Dead "NPC Easter Egg" [SPOILERS]

Roughspun Ruffian? That's Garibald the Fargone.

Encountered two - one was a fem-miqote 'lance waving adventurer' I think?
The other was a highlander hyur, I believe... It was a big guy, thats all I remember - but I don't believe Roe kind of big o_o

I met the Ishgardian Pikeman too. This is what he had to say upon dying(again?)

I'm sad I didn't encounter any of these on mine :(

Though I was amazed at that weird pyramid head esque enemy that punches you with coffins. WITH COFFINS. So badass. XD

Right now all the NPCs know is that someone or something very powerful is controlling the dungeon, manipulating it so that it cannot be properly mapped, setting all the traps on every floor, and draining the life out of everyone who enters.

As he fell to the floor, he also said something along the lines of "Ye hear that, lads? The sea is callin' me name!". I'm not sure if that's exactly what he said. But I got really sad when he did.

You first fight him in Sastasha in the Captain's room, named Shallowtail Reaver. He holds the key to the Waverider gates to go onward.

All these dead NPCs are making me really sad, yo. Just give them peace. ;-;

Are you sure? Cause OP said the NPC I encountered was one of the Reavers that you encounter at Swiftperch in an instanced battle in the MSQ. The guy I encountered with my group in Deep Dungeon was not very tall like the one you mentioned. That guy in Captain Madison's room is freakin' HUGE.

To be fair it's best not to judge a character's identity based on the size of the dungeon fight model. After all, the Captain in Sastasha is huge as well, yet even as a MIDLANDER he's larger than a Roegadyn. Then there's Eynzahr Slafyrsyn, you see him in multiple cutscenes, normal Roe height. But then when you fight him in Hullbreaker Hard, he's twice if not three times the size.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Madison is a tall Midlander. I swear to god, these NPCs have no chill in how tall they are. lol

It would be interesting if Wilred ended up as the final boss (or one of the bosses). Fueled by anger, betrayal and possibly a sprinkling of Ascian meddling. I wonder if he would blame WoL for giving him false hope.

So I encountered a guy in a purple cowl with an axe.

He 3 shotted the paladin, slaughtered our ninja, then chased me down as a machinist and 2 shotted me, wiping us. XD

I think it was floor 32 or so? He just hit so hard we didn't even think to use a pomdour before getting massacred be him.

I saw Haley Joel Osment.

But seriously, I'm sure I saw someone unique, but didn't pay attention because I still thoight they were just generic monsters. I'll have to keep an eye out from now on.

Honestly I'm kind of worried we're going to have to fight some super powered, super pissed, extra evil version of a certain character who was cut in half in 2.55's finale.

As sure as I can be with second hand information, given that the picture you gave isn't from the Palace and you also paraphrased the quote. It's a green skinned roegdyn, with the serpent reaver face tattoo, wearing leather armor and using an axe. As for HUGE, I'd need some reference to scale. Taller Roegdyns look the same as short ones if they're by themselves in a picture, since it's basically the same character model.

I have screenshot, just if I can remember when I get home from work.
So sadly he isn't boss-tier, though I have found bosses as well.

Yeah, it's pretty exciting when you find some of the NPCs, and down right depressive when you find others.
