Healing the feast sucks ;/

This is where I find myself too. It's a battle of keeping players in my lime if sight (since so many of my comrades forget wood blocks magic) and helping them alive slightly longer than the opposing healer can. As scholar I can do a fair amount of self-preservation since my faerie continues to heal through attunement. But I can only go so far, and I'm at a cross to be living it's my skill level or just a fundamental problem with how the role works on the feast.

I've never encountered this in any other PvP mode.

If you mean #9 as of today (5/11/2016) that guy is actually a monk. I've run into him a couple times and I've only ever seen him on monk. But who knows maybe he does play tank as a alt on occasion.

Ya, I wasn't exactly sure, I never played with or against the guy and they were always in warrior gear, pvp or pve.

that player i've only seen on melee.

with that said there's at least 3 players in the top 20 who have played either a great deal of tank or the majority of it while getting to those ranks. while in general tanks don't have as much impact as mdps/rdps, they can still perform quite well.

As a fellow Scholar main:

It's also that scholar is awful for the feast; it's just not designed for eight minute long engages against AST or especially WHM. You'd have to be an idiot or a savant to choose Scholar as your main feast class, because even post-changes the class is lacking in a lot of very basic ways.

It's fun, tho.

This is what makes the fact that currently primal's highest ranked healer at #6 having played the majority of their game as SCH so shocking really.

Oh yeah it's tons of fun. I play a tank in pve so healer was always the one everyone wanted to kill in pvp. Been scholar my entire pvp life!

But yeah I agree with you it's not designed at all for this mode. In 8v8 however (played this somewhat pre-season), I was top of the charts. Scholar, in my opinion (and sounds like yours too?) is best when it's the support healer, not the main healer. I do feel like I push the limits of the job at all times, whereas I can notice other healer jobs not doing what I would call the best performances, yet if my dps aren't the best I feel the pressure quite heavily.

We have a few Bananajuice would be topped rank tank I think now, and Bear has been doing really well as late as well. You also have Jiraiya on aether (mostly WAR), and I think one of the Japan Diamonds is a tank (mind you it is funny how different the top classes are on JP vs NA). But overall it is really Monk/Drg>Mech/Bard>everyone else in top 100.

Ya I played vs banana today, the guy seemed to be lagging though, stopped moving every once in a while. It sucks because it sometimes happened to me ;/

I have also seen some new healers climbing up. Sakura(Ast) and Fate Li(Whm)

I played against Sakura twice, lost once and won once. She is pretty good but I felt slightly hamstrung when I got a ninja/blm combo vs her mnk/mch(lazy bo) combo.

It's nice to see other healers up and coming like Sakura and yourself.

Well that's on my team mates haha, I'm not going to chase her around to try and Holy her especially when it costs a lot of mana. Though fluid aura and a repose works nicely.

Very bad idea outing them here this is likely gonna get you banned from forum while he continues to play unimpeded. He's been reported many times I assure you yet is still playing and will continue to play, bringing it up here sadly wont help matters.

Nah they take accusations against other players much more seriously than they do players hacking/cheating. I was banned from forums for 2 weeks only a couple days after the accusation. Some of the quotes they listed as having been offensive by me were pretty amusing but ultimately it was the accusation that got me banned.

I can confirm this, I was banned for 10 days off the forums for mentioning a speedhacker, and I didn't even mention any names.
I really wish they would do something about hackers in pvp though, it's really not fair on the others. With every win they get through cheating, somebody loses their rating/ranking.

My sub expires in 2 days and I'm not renewing anytime soon, so it's not a big deal for me. I'd rather do the world a service by getting the name Sakura Ephemera out there as a known hacker whom I reported on the first week of the Feast and still no action has been taken.

Again, the name is Sakura Ephemera and he plays AST on Brynhildr with an obvious cheater's win rate.

That's too bad if you are quitting, you were fun to fight against. I'm not sure if I ever had you on my team though think only as an opponent a handful of times. More and more healers will realize this over time and the Feast will be dead because of it.

It's a shame you're quitting. We'll be losing a very good player. You were always a challenge whenever i faced you and generally had to swap up my gameplan when facing you or a certain top sch. Wish you luck in your endeavors and hope you come back to the feast one day.

I've finally encountered a cheater. Not the previously mentioned one but one nonetheless. Hope something is done about them...

I was in the same match as King Canadane, got disconnected anyway.. But I noticed healer was cheating after several debuffs not working at all... This is SAD...

Yeah we almost had that win too! Can't blame you on the DC, I never would; out of your hands so don't sweat that. But after someone mentioned they think the AST was cheating, I kept my eye on them.
After the match, I saved a shadowplay recording of the fight, clipped out the bit I saw that was almost indisputably cheating, and submitted the video in a cheating report. They don't reply to cheating reports personally so I don't know if I'll ever know what'll happen to them. But I do hope they take justice one way or another.

Worst part is they're on my server so I may run into them one day. Ho hum...

Why do people have to suck

For what it's worth, all of you on primal that have posted here as healers are people I enjoy having on my team. <3 I wish I could tell you in game that your heals are amazing.
