    Healing the feast sucks ;/

It has little to no reward and out of all of the roles probably has the least carrying potential despite having the most responsibility.

I have been hovering around rank 12-10 for the past 1-2 weeks and it always kills my drive to see what always appears to be a monk or mch come out of no where with a extremely high win rate makes me question if I am just wasting my time trying to climb as a healer.

It does not help when you see the rank 1 healer at times drop 250+ rating for apparently no reason and from what I know as the rank 3 healer tank to the 40's.

Been debating on switching to monk or mch, but when you think about it, you just make the lack of healers on the top even worse.

Just ranting but I have seen this sentiment everywhere and thought I should bring it up.

Honestly don't care about rating, just play for fun.

healers have it pretty tough. it's an unthankable job without the same potential to control matches the way DPS jobs do, so you have to derive your own rewards from it.

imo it's best to just ignore the ratings and rankings and just really focus on improving from game to game. i can guarantee that if you're good enough, you command a respect that's not necessarily shown in a number on a website.

Funny you say that! You're one of my favorite healers to have on my team =)

I personally don't believe that is good enough. If healers have a low chance of success then there is no incentive to play as anything other than a dps or maybe a warrior. Why play a healer when you are rewarded less than everyone else. I just see this as a situation that will kill The Feast with a lack of people willing to heal. This can snowball as well, people stop healing, people get paired with new healers, whine and complain about said healers and then stop playing too. It's just no good the way it is now.

well if you ask me, healers deserve a different reward base than that of dps/tank jobs, either via titles or mounts/gear etc.

but unfortunately SE is fairly short sighted in this regard (consider the rewards from PVE/PVP for healers). so you have to make due with what you got. it's not fair, it's just how it is.

and as such i have a lot of respect for the healers who come to play in spite of all the garbage they have to put up with, which is substantially more than any of the other classes, maybe combined. it takes a different kind of wiring to be able to sort through all the chaff and continue plowing forward.

(I do disable and heavy the healer and heavy the dps when I can, but they still can't seem to kill 'em). I sometimes get to culling time 3, and still nothing is being killed, untill I run out of mana, and then it's apparently my fault we all die when I run out of mana from the other team doing more damage (-.- the bard/mch usually doesn't give me report or manasong either... )

Wow that is brutal. I feel you. These days if I manage to win 2 in a row and be positive I seriously consider stopping because I expect the losses to come. Sometimes I don't heed my gut feeling and end up play several more hours just to get back to where I was thinking about stopping at.

It seems that being a healer is a lot about luck and inching up in rank if at all while dps roles just stroll on up out of nowhere.

Your reward is running away laughing after living through a melee LB, while they scramble after you.
