Can't buy zeta replica?

I made damn sure I found the option to get replica from Drake before trading my weapon in.
Not sure why others just tossed theirs before checking first. Honestly its your own fault.
Very nice the devs are looking into a workaround for you all.

I actually told them to go ahead and reset the quest if they could. Just reroll me back to Wednesday, I wouldn't even care about retainer items lost, etc. I just want that back.

As far as it being "my own fault" - I guess it is, yeah, but I had the weapon, the title "Z" and "ZODIAC QUEST COMPLETE" pop up - so after all of that I don't figure how you'd automatically think after receiving an "already obsolete" weapon to look for a quest AFTER that when you were glamouring it anyway. He has a red quest mark anyway for other unfinished quests, so I assumed it was all for the same thing. I never equipped it; just glamoured it repeatedly. Thankfully it doesn't appear to just be me as others had the same problem.

Ehhh, I wouldn't blame the player base as it wasn't clear at all. A logical assumption would be that once you obtained your Zeta, it was now unlocked for replacement purchase.

But hey, nice job having some empathy for your fellow players ;)

That came off rude but honestly I've been seeing so many people complain about this here, on FB and reddit.
I don't understand how so many people who put so much effort into their zeta wouldn't double check before trashing it?!! This should be a nice life lesson for them all. Instead they blame SE.

This is the exact same situation I found myself in... I had the Z title and the weapon... to be honest I thought the quest line was over. I had no idea I had to go back and talk to the guy again.

On the other hand, if it meant a lot to someone that they be able to have a replica, shouldn't they insure that they obtain it prior to permanently destroying their Zeta? The turn-in is very very clear that there is no turning back.

I personally had not completed The Vital Title myself and didn't have the replica option available. I made sure I did what needed to be done to get my replica before turning in my actual Zeta.

While can understand the frustration, you can't completely absolve players of any personal responsibility. If it meant that much, they should have secured a replica before ditching the original.

I am a player that always stays on top of Patch Notes and takes it to pen and paper when new content comes out.

When patch 3.15 hit i got out my notepad, and wrote down all the new content, where i can start it, and things i need to do for it. For the anima weapons, i wrote down the quest name, where it starts, what npc gives the quest, and what i needed to do for my replica.

I rely on Patch Notes to tell me what i need to do, because finding information such as this in game can be a task in itself. If that starred line stated "Replicas are only available for purchase to players that have obtained a Zodiac Weapon Zeta AND completed the quest "The Vital Title", i would not have messed this up, or missed this quest.

This is one of those "It is what it is" situations. But for something that takes so much time to complete, (and because of the new content available, really only is useful as a glamour or status symbol) I believe there should be some mercy, and some sort of fix for the dedicated players who did this massive Grind, and continue to play the game.

Just my thoughts! Hope the GMs can help us out!

P.S. I would rather grind the crystals then lose the weapon i worked so hard to obtain!

Wtf? The quest you do to turn in zeta explicitly states once you turn it in it is gone and goes on to tell you to go to Drake and get a replica first. The quest states all of that. The ONLY way you would not have known is by tabbing through all the text to complete....and quite frankly, that would be your own fault!

I have the exact same problem, I have destroy my Zeta weapon before i have finished The Vital Title quest.

First of all sorry for my poor english, that's not my mother tongue but the "French forum" is not really alive.

So, yes, that's a bit our fault, a last check up to all "Zeta weapon" concerned PNJ might have been welcome.
But, like others sayd already, everything at the end of the last quest left thinking that the quest was really done, our Zeta was in our pocket, the big flashing text saying that the Zodiac quest is done, the Z title, ...
And no, nowhere it was sayd to go to Drake FIRST.

For me that's a bit our fault, but a bit SE fault too but the most important of it is that despite the fact that we missed a quest, we deserve as much as the other players to have this bonus.
We have done the same things, we sweated as much as the others to gain our Zeta weapon, the only difference is that we missed a little tiny quest that shows 15 seconds of cinematics....

It tells you to go to Drake.... Not to complete The Vital Title. You just confirmed the problem that we are stating.

Any update yet? This should have been addressed by now. Please implement a fix with the next maintenance.

Kinda sad. Every time there's a maintenance I get excited hoping this gets fixed. Who knows though.. What if after looking into it they decided that they aren't going to do anything about it.. It's been almost a month after all.

Yeah i know how you feel. I've been doing the exact same thing. We did get messages from GM's confirming SOMETHING would happen. So we just have to wait patiently to see what this SOMETHING might be.

Any updates?

I have not seen anything as far as official updates on the matter. Im hoping to see something soon.... As soon as i re-glamour my main weapon my Zeta is officially gone forever lol.

If I had to guess, this will require larger updates than possible in a hotfix, so we may not see anything until 3.2 (or if we get a 3.18ish).

Yeah i suppose its going to require a new quest, or some sort of new reward for the people who didn't manage to make the same mistake i did.

You can, this is the normal way of things. The dev post was addressing the particular case where players would complete their zeta, but not finish the quest (talk to npc for last cutscene), and then proceed to destroy their zeta for the anima quest. Doing this left the quest "the Vital Title" incomplete and therefore didn't set the flag needed to purchase the replica. This just means there will soon be a fix for those who broke their quest and their ability to purchase replicas by skipping some steps.

It's worded poorly. You can still only purchase replicas of Zetas that you've completed. All that's changed is that you can do so if you never finished A Vital Title but had already turned in your weapon.

Still confused.. I just finished my Zeta yesterday, tried to deposit it at the retainer and get a replica without it being in the inventory... not working.
Now i'm afraid to turn in my Zeta and am thinking about depositing one replica of every stage on my retainers before turning it in... which is a huge waste of space.

You must complete the quest "The Vital Title" in order to purchase the replica zeta. Jalzahn should have this quest and if I remember correctly, it's pretty short.

This is currently wrong :o They changed this in 3.2. Completing "A Vital Title" is no longer a requirement to purchase the replica. If you've received the actual relic (but not completed the vital title quest), you WILL be able to purchase a replica.

oh wow , this is really ... so bcs i didnt check this thread and didnt look on internet , because it was obvious you need turn your weapon for nodules to be able to buy replica zeta , wow .. like really , now to do again 2 jobs

any clue where it is described ingame ? o.o

so if i did 3 another lvl60 relic with fates not with this exchange , i guess it will work .... i mean.. seriously.

it actually isnt fixed yet. if you discard your zeta, you wont be able to buy replicas... still
