If you want ugly people, you can always go play a Bethesda game for a bit. It's hard to make one that's not ugly there, and it's particularly easy to make hideous creations. This is the "wife", (I use wife loosely here because I'm not even sure if it's human anymore), I made for my throwaway character in Fallout 4 once I got bored with it....

Haha same here. I play it from time to time. I just love the open worldness of bethesda games. Nobody besides them seems to be able to pull it off. I love Final fantasy as well though.

I'm guessing you mean a good amount of below average looking players and npcs? Yeah I guess but this is final fantasy with most characters looking like super models and heterosexual Jonas Brothers. If I could make an old character I'd make my miqote look a bit more mature looking and not all puffy cheeked. Or if we can go super young I wouldn't mind that either but w/e.

Not exactly ugly, but maybe he was trying with the gear? :P (I hate the soldiery healer body, and that crown makes it even worse). The only relatively ugly face in the game (in my opinion) is the buttonsy nosed derplander male.

Yes actually. I find it strangely unnerving when 99% of the population a virtual world looks like they are in their 20s or 30s and none of them dirty or nasty looking. The players need not be ugly or old but why not have a good chunk of NPCs be old or nasty looking for varieties sake?

I think that old guy in the Aftcastle is pretty ugly. o.o

I'm sorry if I step on someone's toes with my big Roe feet but, I've always found Elezen in general (both genders) to be the least attractive. Lots of male Miqo'te seem to have rather derpy faces as well (I blame this on Miqo'te hair which usually tends to look super helmety) and I can't say I'm a fan of the Au Ra males' faces at all. Beady eyes that close together always bothered me.

Well, I personally don't find even half of the playerbase I've encountered attractive, but that doesn't mean they're ugly. Just that I have a different taste. Beauty is in the eye of a beholder after all. :> (Same with NPCs. Heck, most of the NPCs look so weird with those dead white eyes and grey hairs.)

I don't think it's so much as you can't make "ugly characters," but they all look somewhat idealistic. Their faces are symmetrical, their bodies are in good shape, and some of the girls have huge eyes (which is seen as attractive). Everyone looks too perfect.

The only "ugly" thing about this character is the ash on her face. She'll be a babe if she washes it.

There are a lot of ugly characters in this game.
