I hope the Maintanace this morning will solve the issues with DF. This is a major Gamebraking Bug and needs to be hotfixed!
As Tank -> PvP 60 Mins+, Same with Void Ark.
Didnt tried Roullete because I had to unlock the new Dungeons first.
After experimenting the best I can with the times I noticed that all my DF roulette have ended in 1 Tank, 1 Healer, 1 Melee DPS, and 1 Range DPS. On MSQ roulette I also got 2 Tanks, 2 Healers, 2 Range DPS, and 2 Melee DPS. If this is a "tweak" then that would account for the increase in time. Harder to get an exact DPS setup then just any DPS that is on the list.
Funny you mention this, tonight I was in queue for ex roulette as a healer which said less than 5min. I was in queue for 44 mins before I was d/c and I lost my place in queue. When I queued for the instance without ex roulette, I got a 4-5 min queue and entered within that time frame. Something is definitely wrong. I heard someone else mentioning this in an LS earlier too.
I hope this gets noticed by the higher ups before the weekly reset. Not too mad atm because I'm capped for the week but going to be mighty upset if this bug is still around on Tuesday.
They need to fix this, DF is being unbearable.
I don't believe it is just a visual bug if people are experiencing way worse queue times than before. Just revert it to how it was pre 3.1. Queuing for a roulette except if you have 4 people is a gamble right now. More often than not, DF fails and any kind of class is in the queue for hours.
We generally do Ex roulette with 2-3 people pre-formed from the FC, to avoid the risk of running with randos who suck.
With two DPS and a tank, our queue time was 2 minutes waiting on a healer.
With two DPS and a healer, our queue time was 5 minutes waiting on a tank.
So the roulette may be broken for individuals, but it's working just fine for smaller pre-formed groups that have at least a tank or a healer already.
Yeah I've done ex as tank/dps and healer/dps without waiting more than a few minutes.. Feels quick. Maybe try to grab a buddy until it's addressed?
Yep, dunno if Thursday's maintenance had anything to do with this, but same here - queue for expert roulette as DPS, says 8-9 minutes for AWT, and literally within seconds the counters drop to 0/0 on everything, which is...weird, to say the least. And then the queue time starts to rival PVP's, meaning infinity and beyond. Same time of day, before the maintenance - didn't have to wait 5 minutes for the queue to pop. Actually, any time of day, really.
Trial/leveling/GH roulettes though, when queueing as tank, almost always pop instantly. Idk what they did to the duty finder, but something's definitely fishy.
Something is majorly ..cked up with the expert roulettes. Before patch with my Machinist Roulette was an average of 5-15min. Post patch i had a 90 minute queue.
Dunno what exactly they meant by optimizing the Roulette but this is certainly not optimization.
Anyone know if it's functioning correctly?
I keep getting
0/1 Tank
0/1 Healer
0/2 DPS
whenever I'm queueing...
void ark - 30 mins average wait as tank, 20 as healer, 18 as dps.
Yeah for those saying it is the time and to grab a buddy, that is far from the issue...the que is not showing who all is in the que, it's not so much that no one is queing or it is taking long..you just cannot tell who is queing.
The main issue is that Duty Finder isn't registering who is queued for what, which is likely the reason for exorbitantly long queues. Friend and I have had this issue since Thursday. It will just say 0/1 - 0/1 - 0/2 for the roles when both of us are queued as DPS (summoner). We also tried changing to one healer and one DPS, which didn't make any difference at all, however, tank and DPS did work one time.
We're queued for EX roulette right now and having the same issue. 11m wait time, no roles filled out. Occasionally you will see it flicker onto 2/2 for DPS and then instantly change back. So I'm not sure what they changed, but it's broken and needs to be fixed asap.
Is Duty Finder Broken?

Waiting for ever with a Healer and a DD.
The devs acknowledged there is an issue with *display* where queues show no people (it's even in the patch notes). They said this does not at all affect queues.
The problem is that queues are taking way too long for ex roulette / void ark (and perhaps diadem?) when they shouldn't - queueing at prime time, especially as a needed job. And troubling that people can queue by selecting a new dungeon just fine.
I've basically wasted hours of my time today waiting for the expert queue. I love this game, but this making it as enjoyable as staring at a wall.
Just to be clear: It's very unlikely Void Ark tank queues are a bug at all. Census data has put tank players around 20% of the population. For a 1:1:2 (= 2:2:4) composition this is pretty low, but for a 1:2:5 composition, it's actually pretty high... so extended wait times would be expected.
It's also possible we had a huge surge of healers for EX roulette but that seems unlikely when single queues are much, much faster.
Today's leveling roulette results: first alt close to 30 min and second alt 98 min (both were around lvl 28 casters). I am wondering if the queue can pop when you switch classes during the queue. For the second case I was working on the Hildabrand quest chain while waiting. The queue finally popped about 10 min or so after I switched back to the class I queued with. (For both cases the ave queue time was always showing between 5-20 min.)
Expert roulette does seem to be broken in some way.
It takes ages to queue as a healer (my current queue is 55 minutes elapsed, with average wait time 10 minutes).
This is fairly consistent that the average wait time shown is short, but it takes a huge amount of time to actually get in.
I've manage to get in to roulette a couple of times, each around 20 mins, and given up another couple of times at over 45 mins.
My speculation is that in their changes to duty finder they've made is so that people queuing for individual dungeons have priority over those in roulette, and have overdone it.
Thus if there is a steady flow of players queuing individually for the expert dungeons (as there probably will be currently with people new to the dungeons), then those queuing for roulette never get in unless they are a tank.
This would be consistent with the display: if the average wait time includes those queuing manually then it would be quite short, but those queuing for roulette will have a much longer (if ever) wait.
Greetings,
While queue times have increased, we have seen no indication that the Duty Finder is experiencing any matching issues since the release of Patch 3.1. For the Void Ark specifically, we're seeing longer wait times for tanks and healers. As Void Ark offers iLv 200 gear, we assume that many players are queuing up to earn gear for their secondary roles which seems to often be tanks. For now, we would suggest forming a full party via Party Finder, or as an alliance, to help alleviate this for the time being.
Also, as mentioned in the Patch 3.1 notes, currently there is a known issue with the Duty Finder display where each of the roles are showing up as 0. Please note that this is only a display error, and the matching process is functioning correctly. The dev. team is currently investigating this issue.
We'll continue to monitor the situation and if we spot any issues or irregularities, we'll be sure to follow up.
Love how the issue is expert roulette and ya'll are talking about Void Ark. Thanks, I guess?
Except that nobody joins the Party Finder group because they can get instant queues going in solo. Do you guys actually test playing the game when you release new content, or just look at numbers on a computer screen all day? Might be time to hire a QA team. Even DPS queues don't approach 4 hours for played content, while it is doing so for tanks. Even during prime times of the day!
It probably has nothing to do with actually queuing for content, at launch there was a problem even for 4/4 premades to get into AK because there were too many instances. They added a ton of instanced content this patch (which includes stuff like LoV and the longer instances such as Void ark and exploratory missions) and this is probably the real issue.
Healer and tank queue is still instant however :p.
I think if you are queueing solo as either tank or healer and not getting a group fast. Try just withdrawing and queueing a little later?
Yeah, 2 hour queue... something is broke. I don't care what algorithm you're using, 2 hour queues are not acceptable. I've never had a queue take this long on any role. Not to mention the estimate is useless. When I started this queue it claimed less than 5m. Something isn't right here.
But that is bass-ackwards. It should queue faster for Roulette than one individually, or at the same rate if you check off both so you are queuing for two also in that scenario.
They clearly did something to monkey roulette up. Always thought the point of Roulette was to help pair up returning experienced players to help out the new guys--and for using that we get bonus rewards for helping the newbies out. Flipping it upside down so that it makes it not worth the time to use Roulette defeats the design and apparent intended use of the feature.
I sat in the queue for 65 minutes as BLM tonight. Oh yeah... and the whole time the estimated wait time cycled through values of 7-15 minutes. Only reason I stayed in there was because I was tooling around doing other things in the room. By contrast, I probably could have queued them outside of roulette and run them twice...or nearly run them twice depending on how smooth the runs went.
That is a step backwards in my book.
before we can judge the situation we might have to wait 1 or 2 more weeks. with new content, everyone might have been busy with other things. i only did one expert roulette this week and that was premade and I'm already capped. not everyone has unlocked the new dungeons and i just assume not many were into leveling other jobs this week.
still something feels wrong. when 2.3 and 2.5 introduced syrcus tower and world of darkness wait times weren't that long for tanks and healers. and when queueing on nin it took much longer to get into the ark than what the average was. Even with a pt of 7/8 we had to wait almost half an hour to get in...
whatever the reason is but the DF situation after the patch is not satisfying
Check out Roulettes, there is definitely something wrong with them. For example Levelling Roulette before patch with Machinist took 5-15min max, post-patch its 60-90min. It's so bad that i need to apply almost 2 hours before i actually got time to play just to do the content. With all the new people coming back after the patch release wait times should be if not lower certainly not 10 times longer.

Definitely a problem with the Duty Roulette: Expert queue algorithm.
I am seeing the same problem... When I started to Q with my friend we saw in the forming party list 0/1 Tank 1/1 Healer and 1/2 DPS
after about 10 seconds all of that zeroed out to 0/1 0/1 0/2 and we have been sitting in Q for an hour.
