The last dev response regarding any of this was unfortunately back in June. That is more than a few months ago, but no further word on any of it. They also only addressed adding some additional leves to the 35 range, but didn't really address the other issues mentioned. Obviously new leves did not get adding for crafters in patches since then, so it is still unclear when they will be tackling this.
Also - not only does there need to be a better balance of leves, but when oh when will they add some new ones. It is so tiring to do the same smattering of identical leves over and over and over again. This would be for any class, crafter, gathering or fighting classes. We need additional new leves and a balance across all of them.
This has been a persistant problem since day 1. People have been screaming about it from day1. The dev team has ignored us from day 1. Hopefully this will change soon. There are some easy fixes to alleviate this problem.
1. The Level 20 catagory is too big. Add a new sub-menu option for Level 30.
2. Ensure each level catagory has at least 2 levee quests for each 5 level increment. I.E. 2 level 30, 2 level 35.
3. If the dev team is worried about a proliferation of quests then you can modify point 2 to ensure that the levee requirements are met in the cities housing the Guilds for the particular quests. I.E. LL would have the maximum # of quests for Bsm, Arm and Cul.
The current system of levee allotments should be enough to ensure that people do not overly abuse the system.
As before I call upon our Community Reps to press the Dev team for some kind of response to this problem
i agree with that post 100%. Leves didnt change since day one (at least it feels like it). If this system is staying in the game we need a ton more leves, variety. bit smarter design, and a better option for ppl who like to solo sometimes (im not a all solo friend but it doesnt hurt to have a decent option).
If we have more different leves they wont feel that repetitive anymore. Esp DOL leves are extremely limited in number.
(i dont know of a way to make them more exciting but at least offer more then just 2)
Agree with this, I would like to add that all leves within that range should be avliable even if this means there are more than 1 page of leves, players should have a choice of what 8 leves they want to complete, not have the system restrict them. (not that its even possible at the moment because the leves don't exist)

I like the idea of giving an even amount to all locations, with a few extra leves available for those who travel to the city their guild is located in. I think that would be fair
Something like:
If accepting leves in Ul'Dah:
3 leve choices each for Smithing, Armor, Culinarian, Carpentry, Leather, Fishing, Botany
4 leve choices each for Gold, Weaving, Alchemy, Mining (a bonus extra leve available for each local guild)
Ideally, I'd like to always see more leves, but whatever the number offered, I'd like it to be the same for all classes/cities.
Shameless bump so the devs will hopefully respond. I would like to add that there needs to be a clear and easy way to update a post to reflect the dev tag. I tried but it is pretty pointless to change the title to show a dev tag when that tag never actually changes on the main heading itself.

Despite the amazing 2.0 announcement, this is an issue that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. At the very least let us know you've passed it on to the devs lol.
Another shameless bump, still hoping for a Dev response. Definitely need to get equality in the number/frequency of crafting leves at each level range.
Yeah, I would really like a new Dev response for this because it has been a few months now since we have heard anything and I want to know if the Devs are working on this for 1.20 or 1.21 or are we going to have to wait until V2.0. My Alchemist leveling is now on hold because there is only one L40 leve I have found even with checking all 3 cities every leve allowance reset and without new recipes to grind on (loss of dyers moss is horrible) I am now not sure what to do.
Another bump to this thread because there still has been no Dev response to this.
