Whenever people wanna say the bad part of FFXI they bring up the whole "Well nobody wants to camp Fafhogg!" but the thing is that is the only true negative people can bring up. And not a single FFXI Vet that plays this game is asking for that AT ALL. We want the challenging systems with horizontal progression that FFXI capitalized on and made it a stand out game from other MMO's of the time.
Sure not all of it was great as any game isn't, but if FFXI had a playerbase still, up to date graphics and animations, I would definitely be playing that now instead of this game. Also people need to stop saying this game is so "different" when it borrows things from FFXI that it needed to b successful with 2.0, it is made by the same company, and originally the save devs they pulled off of 11 to put on this game. So by definition, it is the fairest comparison you can make between games, this game isn't some magnificent snowflake as some devs would have you believe...
