Honestly, what is the harm in giving people more options to wear? I mean I won't wear it (least I don't think) but I also don't glamour to impress you, I do it cus I enjoy it. We all are sick and tired of "Cloud Strife" and other variations of Final Fantasy characters but that doesn't stop other people from using it those names or butchering them (adding double letters for no reason other than to use the name). Point is, you may not like it, then don't use the glamour.

Chocobo suits and other costumes like that have at least some kind of connection to the game, but school uniforms would be completely out of place. I'd love to have new cute glamours but I would rather take something that fits the XIV's realm a bit better.

This is my opinion on the matter, now my thoughts
The idea seems interesting, if perverted. SE had incorporated other silly outfits into the lore (though it helps that most of them are seasonal events, or Veteran Rewards). But the thing is it is set in an analogue of the Middle/Dark Ages (the later eras at least) and the Japan analogue seem to be inspired by the Edo or Meiji era, not the Heisei era, and the role the player have are adventurers, not highschool students, especially if they "graduated" be leveling SCH to 50
There are many crossovers I want, there are also many concepts I want to see, but I know that most of them are likely to be limited to the End of Days for Eorzea and the fanfic realm (maybe the Hilderbrand storyline, but that seems to be over for now). A Show by Rock, Vocaloid, Kantai Collection, Touhou, Marvel, DC(UO), My Little Pony, Transformers or Steven Universe crossover would raise eyebrows at best and would actually be the straw that finnaly breaks the camel's back at worse, event the DQ crossover was stretching things a little. Likewise incorporating concepts not native to medieval times that aren't standard fantasy, Science Fiction or Final Fantasy if done poorly, will actually have players threaten to unsub (again).
It's not impossible for SE to make fetish outfits be able to fit with the lore, but whether or not they do it well or not (and even if they want to and if Yoshida will let them) is another question. The fact is this is a Fantasy RPG with some sci-fi touches, not a dating sim or an anime for people to live vicariously though. At best those wanting school suits can hope that SE implements the concept well of adds the Class-0 or SeeD uniforms, neither option is currently likely -
