They better either add more content to the current patch cycle, or shorten the current patch cycle by a month and keep the same amount of patch content. 2.5 was a massive cut scene patch because the time they had to 3.0 didn't allow them to finish off 2.0's story in normal patches and honestly there wasn't much else to 2.5 outside of WoD and the normal 3 dungeons, and end to Hildibrand. The Odin trial was a let down, I actually found Steps of Faith pre-nerf to be a lot harder and even then that was pretty easy. I was actually hoping for a EX version of "The Chrysalis" or of Steps of Faith but that never happened.Quote:

I feel like the next logical places to go are Xelphatol and Ala Mhigo. The Garleans kinda took a back seat for 2.1+ and those conquered lands aren't going to un-conquer themselves.
As for swimming, I doubt it's going to happen but the Indigo deep would probably be a good place for that. Or pretty much any of the unexplored seas around Eorzea.
But of course this is pure speculation. There are still quite a few places we haven't visited yet. -

Here's where I think future x-pacs will go:
4.0 - Pagl'than, O'Ghomoro, Xelphatol, Gyr Abania (Ala Mhigo being here) and hopefully the remaining 1.0 areas that haven't been put back in the game yet.
5.0 - South-western Othard
6.0 - Eastern Othard (Doma being here)
7.0 - North-western Othard
8.0 - 10.0 - Ilsabard (With us defeating the Empire)
If the game is still getting updates beyond that, then:
11.0 - Meracydia
12.0+ - New World
Not sure where Thavnair and Sharlayan would fit in though... -

To the TC, I would have been surprised if they had NOT already started on the next expansion. Those things take a lot of time to develop.
With different teams handling different aspects of an expansion, I'd be surprised if 4.0 wasn't unofficially started during the time that HW was in development. -

With how the storyline is going we may go into Ala Mhigo area for 4.0 considering the push on Ala Mhigo in the Main Storyline since 2.X era.
With the Garlean Empire almost ready for war once again, once they fix their new flagship, I'm guessing we may head to Garlean Empire in 5.0 since the only thing standing in the Alliance way of a direct assault on Garlean Empire is Ala Mhigo. Making 5.0 the expanions that end the Garlean Threat on Eorzea which may give the Alliance room to start exploring other continents since their resources has been mostly spent on defending Eorzea from the Garlean Empire currently.
From current Lore, Eorzea appears to be the only Continent left in the world not under Garlean Empire control so entering other continents would be basically suicide. I've considered the possibilty of other continent before Garlean Empire defeat but with the lore pushing on how they control almost the enitre world it would be impossible to expanding into those areas without turning the story into a secret miltary operation to liberate the continent from the Garlean Empire. -

But yeah, they need to tie in Omega Weapon (unless he somehow become involved in PvP). But yes the steps into Ala Mhigo is there: Growing unrest in the refugees, Ilberd. There's also the fact that Gaius and co are no more, so there should not be a Legatus ruling over it which should help the resistance fighters plan abit better. After a War of Succession, a new Emperor is seated, but I have to say Garlemald is weaker than it's been for a while.
