10 is the highest value, you cannot go above it. A with +9 would still only be A, 2 with +9 would still only be an A, 5 with +7 will still only be an A.

That's kinda arguing something slightly different though. More or less that's like saying Chaos is hard because you don't get the right card when you need it.
These are the boundaries of the rule, you will get good hands or you will get bad hands but one thing is for sure, is the AI is easily baited and each NPC has weak points to exploit, so if you have the beastman deck and a few decent 1 star cards with high sides like chocobo, moogle, amaljaa, and maybe one 3*+ card you are more likely to get these cards on average as you add more cards into your deck.
Getting more cards in general benefits you against the random people and yes you can get more 2 stars in your hand as well after you unlock it. Even getting a hand where you have a 3star or higher and a 2 star is already a huge boost to what you can do against these NPCs.
Between the easy baiting and exploiting weaknesses on NPC cards and having a good amount of 2* cards you can easily beat these NPCs. Even if you get a full deck of 1 stars you can beat them usually because you can simply exploit the AI they use. One of the biggest advantages you have as a player yes even in chaos matches, is that you know every card they essentially have so you can already plan ahead both in strategy (aka placement) and in cards to use in a deck (for chaos).
Random is crap; a lot of the time you will only win because the CPU can play stupidly. Most of the time, your cards just will not be able to stand up to the NPC's stacked deck otherwise.
Nope, but 10=10, and no matter how high a card ascends it won't go over 10. The game explicitly tells you this, so it's not an oversight.Quote:
This isn't the problem. I got this alot against Indolent Imperial and Vorsaile, where 10>11. I'm dropping a 6+5 Frixio on an 8+2 Nero or a 9+1 Bahamut and... nothing. Nothing happens. Why, cause 10>11 apparently.
There's a hard cap on the card values at A (10) in Ascension. There is no A+1. :3
It's tripped me up a few times trying to flip my own cards back over, but waiting a turn too long.
Right? I beat Rowena when I got a half-decent draw simply because she played like a complete idiot. Thankfully I got Louisoix on my second win. I bailed faster than you can say 'seeya nerd'. Swift and his Chaos rule is pissing me off to no end right now, though. He always seems to get his cards in exactly the order he needs them...
I agree with this. But its more a matter of it not making sense.
The Random rule especially. How is it random if it doesn't REALLY randomly take a pick of any of your cards. At least you would have a slight chance of getting all 4 star cards once in a while. But you have 0 chance because its not really random. For you OR the NPC. Silly.
The Random and Chaos rules are literally the worst. You can get 5 cards of 1 stars but lol the NPC always has the exact same cards.
people play this so broken+unfair card game? XD
NPCs are way to much in advance!
While we players have a really, really, really near non-existent chances to get 4star cards, NPCs mostly use.
Unfair rules that dont effect NPCs.
I liked this game back on FF8. But here? I dont even have 20 different cards.
I have quit after I tryd to save my deck only with two 4stars(Lahabrea+Minfillia) I got from Booster Packs!
"To many rare cards, cant use deck!" /card game interest went to: 0%
NPCs has not even 10 diff. cards and they are full of 3-4 stars!!
The only thing that should be changed is the random rule for NPCs. It should apply to them, too
Chaos Rule Explained: "Lel i win because the game allows me to use the right cards in the right moment" or "Damn i lose because the game lets me use cards, i cant flip anything with all the time."
People really should start getting gud at TT, because i cant tell whats wrong with the Chaos rule on Swift.
In a game that emphasizes strategy, throwing in RNG completely destroys the concept. In chaos i suppose you can build a deck around it, but Random? Theres literally no thought process behind it. You just challenge and hope for the best. If I wanted to get shafted by RNG I'd go work on a relic.
Which is it? Anyone having trouble farming really needs to play better, or the drop rates on rare cards should be buffed?
If you are asking for the drop rate to be buffed it sounds like you have trouble farming them yourself..
I'm guessing some people just have bad memory and don't remember RNG worked in their favor and gave them cards in 5 wins total, or they actually played for hours against that npc themselves.
Yes, it's very useful knowing that Landanel still has Odin in his hand, and that his Odin will flip any side it is placed against.
My apologies if I sound rude. But I highly question your argument, or experience in TT when you claim that chaos or random NPCs can be easily beaten by a deck full of 1 stars; when it's near impossible for them be beaten by such a deck.
For those claiming that RNG opponents are 'easy', please check your statements.
It's may be possible if you have alternate rules to try and use. Rules such as Plus can work in your favor if you play your cards right. Pure RNG comes down to luck though. It is a fact that NPC opponents have very limited card selections and so their decks will ALWAYS be in their favour. Enjoy your 1-star horde versus their 4-5 star massacre. Unless they intentionally make stupid mistakes, it is often impossible to win with such cards.
Sometimes you'll get lucky and end up with multiple 2-stars. At least, you will if you have 40+ cards in your deck. Anyone else is stuck with five 1-star cards, and maybe four 1-stars and a single lucky draw. Often I found myself against Rowena with a deck of 1-stars or maybe a single 2-star if I was 'lucky'.
Yes, I've beaten every NPC in the game. Yes, I've also claimed the majority of cards from said players. So yes, I know they can be truly unfair and unkind. They don't play by our rules, they play by their own. Using multiple 4-star and 5-star cards is impossible for players but are an everyday occurrence for them. Random always works in their favour due to their limited selection.
I'd love to know what your definition of unfair truly is if you don't see an obvious problem with making nigh-unbeatable NPCs you need to win against multiple times to get your cards.
