Story of my life. - Forgot to do it on T9 twice, first time, they didnt notice it, told them... 2nd time, they notice it, fixed it =p

My opinion this is the derpiest and funniest one:
Whenever I am typing in chat and accidentally click the mouse button on my laptop with my palm and then all of the letters I am typing become skills so I stand there and jump up and down popping all of my cooldowns :)
I have a few
1) I was talking to some FC friends in FC chat I forgot I switched to party chat and continued my conversion to the party not my FC :/
2) I recently switched from the PS3 to PS4 and sometimes, while doing my rotations, mouse over an action I do not want to use with my fingers on the controller touchpad ( ie trying to cast E4E on the tank and my finger swipes swiftcast ... while I have nothing to swiftcast  , another I was still learning my CNJ and was in satasha nm and kept mousing over medica when it was not needed and taking aggro making me look like an wtfwhm unintentionally)
3) Changing between my hotbars quickly and accidently switching to my petbar and dismissing my Egi
I do that all the time.... while on a desktop xD; *Info windows pop open, jumps around a bit, sometimes auto run (r) into a wall or worse - towards the boss... (luckily I've stopped myself before reachign the the point of auto-run pulling...)*
I just... keep forgetting to hit enter before typing...
Occasionally while healing on SCH I hit Dismiss instead of Heel. :x
There was also a time while healing Hydra for a FC relic run where the tank got the healing debuff and my Physicks just didn't move his health bar AT ALL. 'Man, was this debuff always so potent?' I didn't realize until after we won that I'd forgotten to click off Cleric Stance after throwing out my dots at the beginning. Aaand this is why I stick to tank/DPS.
edit: Hydra, not Chimera. Need coffee.
provoking the adds instead of Ramuh =/
Doing Shiva EX the other day, ready to unload on the adds. I accidentally switch to the wrong hotbar, think I'm hitting Blood for Blood, but instead mark one of the adds as #2. "Kill that guy second, guys!" Derp.
Also, I have done the accidental elusive jump into the fire wall of death in T5. Again, wrong hotbar. I have issues.
Crafting items for repeatable leves...make 24 hq which involved making mulitple mats for each. Wrong item
Accidentally hitting Esuna instead of Protect or vice versa. I even moved them apart on my hotbar but they still look similar so if I'm not paying enough attention I sometimes hit the wrong one.
First time in T9. I was tanking. Fight or Flight, Shield Lob, Spirits, Circle, Halone..... then I ran straight into the wall.
My WHM (1st time too) almost quit right there thinking the boss hit me that hard.
Just had this one yesterday.
I've been playing for nearly a year and just now discovered the armoire in the inn room. Needless to say I have a lot more room in all of my inventories now.
Running into a Twister while avoiding another one.
Running towards the Chimera to give it hugs in Cutter's Cry when its eyes are blue. (I do this more often than I care to admit, and I'm always cussing myself for doing it, too.)
Having Voice in T7 and accidentally pegging the healers at the last tic.
Not exactly a game changer, but when I started getting to many skills on my Dragoon for sprint to be on the first one, I moved it to the second one. It's old location is now filled with elusive jump. Somethimes I forget this while I'm in town, or if I've just switched off a lower leveled class like Gladiator or Rogue and forget that I'm a dragoon now. So I'll get impatient and start running some where in town, try to use sprint and wind up further from where I want to be.
Those levels in Coil that sound like they have death walls will probably feed well on Mirasa.
Spineshatter Dive right into the middle of Sabotender Bailarina's 20,000 Needles. Needless to say, I'm a lot more careful about using my jumps now.
Derp pretty much sums up how I felt learning T7 (pre nerf). Didn't take long to learn the fight but every screw up was so obvious, so avoidable and so utterly party wiping I felt like I was back as a level 15 newbie in my first dungeon lol.
So, my FC was having probs in a dungeon with a healer, while I was in ST. They were debating kicking the healer who seemed to be trolling (either trolling or incredibly confused) but didn't.
I finished ST and said I was free for them to add me - but it was only 4 mins left in the dungeon. No point as the boss wouldn't have been beat in that time frame (or cutting it incredibly close). I even remember thinking to myself, "Yeeaaahhh thats not enough time for anything."
I lost track of time (4 minutes. I lost track of 4 minutes. Wat?), their dungeon had ended and I read "You're up!".... I took it as "Get in here!", like a complete derp.
Hit 'join party in progress', that specific dungeon they had been in and immediately got queued into one.
Oh wait, these names aren't my FC.
I pugged into a dungeon meaning to join my FC mates when they had obviously left it already.... xD;
Derp.
Upside - I pugged into a good group. roflmao
My main is white mage. And before I got used to the game I killed my tanks soo many times cause I forgot to target them when casting heals... Spamming cure 2 on myself and be like "damn this tank has bad gear I cant even keep him up"
Cant edit on phone so heres another post.
My first levi ex try. Doing my best to see the splashes. Getting ready to dodge.. and oops I walked of the platform..
Both of these happened during un-nerfed T7 so my static wanted to kill me:
on BLM, using my burst RS SW Flare rotation on the bow adds and Flaring the one near the Renauds.
Getting shrieked as MNK and Shoulder Tackling myself to my desired location while simultaneously taking down the only Renaud up who could block Shriek.
In T8, trying to be a hero and telling the tank I'd get the mine in his quadrant so he wouldn't stress and just worry about pushing unmarked tower after 2nd allagan field. I Shukichi myself to the mine and then take the laser cleave to the face, dying.
Using Assassinate/Jump right before an aoe you have to dodge.
Died once on Shiva EX as MNK to the bow switch because I needed dat flank Twin Snakes bonus.
My first time in T9 as DPS, getting thermionic beam and thinking its a meteor, so I run to an arm and get wrecked. Another time as PLD I covered the MT while I was on sword oath and had no defensive cooldowns up so I could take Raven's Beak. I died instantly.
Stealing agro as DPS in Titan EX and mountain bustering my party.
using cover on a monk during landslide, finds out cover actually transfers the knockback effect to me, felt kinda stupid.
T5, at the dive bombs.
Last divebomb before ADDs and I'm running low on mp and low on HP (after being bounced) and running back to the pit.
Brain: "I normally hit regen on myself/others when I need to heal but can't stop moving."
Conscious thought: "Don't do it. The snakes will auto-aggro on you."
Brain: "Oh gad, the HP, it hurts!"
Logic: "Don't do it!"
Fingers: "Derp." *Muscle memory-hits regen, pulls all snakes.*
-.-
Also, completely unrelated raid derp -
Was having a bad run and I think I got flustered.
Ran to the start position of the next room after Scylla in ST, casted protect and went to swiftcast SSII like usual but....
Fingers: *hits Cleric*
Brain: Wat
Fingers: *Hits Presence of Mind*
Brain: Stawp
Fingers: *hits SSII while still knowing Swift still needs to be hit*
Brain: Why!?
Fingers: *steps to cancel cast, FINALLY hits SC and then SSIIs*
Brain: *Hopes nobody noticed a thing* .....*quietly removes Cleric stance* >.>;
I think I just needed a moment to close my eyes and settle for a moment after the crap that was Scylla, but jeebus. I hit everything but what I wanted. rofl
Was running Prae with a new FC mate. It's been a looong time because I hated that awkwardness of getting caught between wanting to stay with the newbies and seeing HP bars dropping >_> The whole cutscene crap. So I stopped doing the Main Scenario roulette.
Anyway.
Hit Ultima and... went to simply strafe out of an AoE. Hand manage to hit the start button on my keyboard, instead - which causes the Start menu to open. Take the AoE to the face.
Go to strafe out of another AoE. Fingers hit the between 'crack' portion of the 'Q' and 'Tab' buttons. I start to run out and then stand there and take the AoE to the face, again, as my finger leans more to the 'Tab' button.
I have small fingers. They just apparently misbehave now and again -_-?
My very, very first level 50 dungeon back in 2.0. I think it was AK? Or WP? One of those two.
I was a fresh WHM, I just started the relic quest and I had been out in the open world fighting so naturally I had Cleric Stance on.
I was so excited and nervous for my first end game dungeon, that I had forgotten dungeons didn't automatically turn off Cleric so I buffed the party and the tank started to pull. I'm still in my full AF at this point and I am SPAMMING Cure II's on this tank trying to keep him alive. I was freaking out thinking that maybe level 50 dungeons really were that hard and maybe I wasn't cut out to be a healer.
No one said anything. ._.
When we got to the first boss, I noticed Cleric was on. I felt really stupid. Thankfully the Tank had been pulling 1 group at a time. I'm pretty sure the party thought I was... special.
Running GEX, tried to Fester one of the Olson twins and hitting a Spiny Plume with Bane instead.
Similar stuff happens with me and my FC members. Back when they had the bug with the NIN poisons resetting all the time, he'd forget to turn it on a few times. There's also the random occasion he'll switch jobs, we'll be in T13 and everyone is like "man, DPS is slightly off.."
Or when I'm tanking Bahamut and absolutely getting destroyed for some reason. Then the WAR takes aggro from me, and I suddenly realized I just job changed and didn't have Shield Oath.
do this quite alot when im tired change to buff bar cast my buffs then rush to change back to my attack bar.. spamming attacks for a few minutes to relise im still on my buff bar lol ._.
alex map, back in the days
low on health, still in astral fire, and low on mana.
I try to use transpose so I can heal myself
instead I click on Convert
In my fc they needed a tank, I admit I'm not really good by I keep the aggro and everything.
We go to hullbreaker isle... half the dungeon i have difficulties keeping aggro but I keep it, it's just stressful...... and then..... of course I had difficulties.... shield oath was not on.
Second thing is if I am summoner so many times it happens that my pet gets locked out of the boss *facepalm*
Titan HM, I'm WHM
Titan turns to me and does landslide right as bombs come up, trying to dodge and not get hit with the explosions from the bombs I walked off the side. my team just laughed it off.
Queue for experts as DPS. Switch to fishing to bash out a couple of levels while I wait.
"jfc the queues are taking forever today"
Realise I'm not actually in the queue, because I'd got an almost instant pop half an hour ago when I first joined that came and went without me noticing.
T12.
For some reason I thought all bennus were dead, was waiting for the fire to disappear around phoenix and went into full blown derp mode on autopilot and like a moth attracted to the light I ran right into the giant fucking unmissable fire wall to give phoenix a hug as I was going to keep him that position to tank him.
Dead.
T10 - Not me but our bard on the attempt before our first clear. At 20% he died, and instead of accepting the res he went to the start of the dungeon, we then continued the fight and wiped at about 3%, would've been a clear if he didn't derp!
Sounds like my first T7 clear (back when it wasnt derp7). The SMN manages at 20% to get two fireballs somehow on him - swift - raise but he clicked before he got the accept raise option and reset... we still cleared :)
Best derps in general are the Repelling shots in T5/9 into wall or Titan / Levi off platform.
Also epic was a T9 training and due to the DDOS on PSN at christmas I couldnt get in on my PS4 so I used the PC that still has sub but I never play on it for a year now :/ Golems meteors drop I go towards edge to reduce damage and derp autorun into the wall
Everytime I heal with CS on I feel like crawling in a hole.
And I mean like when in WOD or doing dungeons, something like that, not when I do it on purpose in low levels because I'm lazy.
Also that time I was doing sooorta well on Titan HM, which usually kills me everytime...and then.........
I repel-shot RIGHT INTO LANDSLIDE. Yep. I am awesome.
Ok, yesterday i threw limit tank in t13. Yeah ok limit up. All died, limit was not up XD
The first time I saw terra flare I did this because I was so scared. Half the group was dead though so our monk helpfully informed me when to press the button for next time.
Speaking of t13, during phase 2, I was so distracted watching my group handle flare star that I didn't notice bahamut winding up flatten and died.
Solo tanking t8 I accidently provoked the avatar instead of the dreadnought who then went around gave the healers his high fives of death.
On titan hm I dodged out of the landslide indicator only to walk back into it before the castbar was done and got sent flying off the edge.
I once went all the way to the last boss of AK normal before I realized I didn't have shield oath on.
I got chimera in in roulette and it had been so long since I did it, when the other tank pulled and didn't move the boss up the hill I freaked out and tried to pull it off him. The group killed him in what seemed like under a minute and everyone rightfully made fun of me. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed I could have died.
I have quite a lot derp moments on regular basis. Some because I am tired. Like yesterday: I helped a friend get his first clears in some dungeons. In Stone Vigil HM we were just past the 2nd boss when I noticed I forgot to activate my stance as monk completely. In my defence, it was 1:30 am in the morning after a long day...
A truly derp noob moment I had yesterday as well though. Facepalm worthy. I love screenshots. I have been taking a lot since I started the game in 2.0. I have about 8.3 gig of ff14 screenshots by now. I compete in the 2nd ENTM youtube cycle. That's how much I love screenshots. I never quite paid attention to the code, eg ffxiv_06042015_161811 in all this time. Then yesterday I had the epiphany of realizing it's a time code including date and time to the second. People around me went "Yeah. you didn't know?"
... I am not a smart person.
