the problem with male miqote.

Ummm for all the people having problems with hands and sit.

use /cpose D: it's saved.
and in character option make idle stance animation delay set to 0 - that will make your char move to its /cpose instantly when stop walking (except for cutscenes lol but honestly who cares about cutsceens XD). as for sitting - /cpose is saved so once you type it once, everytime you sit your character will sit with last used pose.

Overall I agree that character customization is extremly poor compared to this day and age, but $E lol

Only 2 reasons I didn't pick elf is 1. too high and 2. bad voice selection
Alphinaud for example is awesome and he's an elf (so is his sister) why can't we make young ones ( ' ^ '

Only things I don't personally like about the face options for male miqotes are the "too old to be a new adventurer" faces (problem for elezen too) and the fact that you can't remove markings.

The face markings is part of the race, though. It's like getting a striped cat IRL and being upset you can't get it to grow fur of a single colour.

Yeah they gave them a face without marking, and gave keepers a mouth without fangs even though the fangs are one of the main distinctions between seeker and keeper, not to mention keepers can use light skins as well, this one just doesn't make sense at all.

Girls have cheek/forehead stripes on 3 of the 4 available faces with no way to remove them. I mean, yeah you have one face without them I guess. I don't mind them either way, though some of the shapes of the eye stripes are weird to me - mostly the "wide" ones that curve downward on the cheeks. I like the ones that are just tiny triangles right by the inside corners of the eyes more. Maybe because they're less obtrusive?

Dunno, I like the face markings on both genders. It sets them apart from Hyur faces a bit more.

All 3 face markings are MUCH more attractive than the male counterparts. At least females get different designs to choose from. We boys only get 1 and can't even select a clear face like you ladies.

Good, more mancats for me!! I like everything about the male cats but we could use more options tho. Personally, Midlander > Highlander for me, don't get me wrong, they're a lot of sexy highlanders but I'd rather be a midlander they're cut and a little buff.

Iunno, I wouldn't have selected the clear face myself. I don't wanna be a Hyur with ears and a tail. :|

With that said, I remember wanting the cheek stripes on my character when I first created him (I was male until just a week or two ago) and didn't understand why they were for females only. It'd be nice if you could choose between the markings for either gender; way more variety in faces that way. ^^

I'd take a relatively bland manqo'te over an attractive highlander any day.

Highlanders are the buff macho men that I'm so tired of seeing basically everywhere in everything. Give me more pretty boys who can look attractive even with some of the less attractive options in character creation.

Honestly, male or female miqote just look like pre-teens(female) or teens(male) and aren't sexy in any way.

i would like to point out the highlander in question in my picture is infact, shioban.the same highlander you just called a sexy beast. he has different hair in the picture i put up and is in a different pose in different lighting so it looks slightly different

This is just my personal opinion and mine alone:

I like the Male Miqo'te, could they be given more options, yes. But then again every race could be give more options to make them look more diverse and interesting. I don't think any race is ugly or hideous, and I highly think it comes down to what people find attractive (video game character wise).

Personally, I can understand why some like to play them, but I don't like midlanders or highlanders. It's not because I think they are ugly or any such thing, but see people in the real world wandering around that look like that every day so I don't want to play one in a fantasy setting. But people like them and there is nothing wrong with that.

In my opinion, I love the Elezens <3 I think they are charming, handsome and very graceful with male Miqo'tes a very close second! :)

But I would never call someone's character ugly, awful etc... people pick the character and race they play for a reason and as long as they are happy then I am happy for them. :)

All the races are beautiful or wonky in their own way. Just how different people perceive them. If you ♥ your character, that's really all that matters.

I do agree with this. More options for all the races! I didn't know how few hair options male Miqo'tes got till I made my retainer. Give them some love already Squeenix! And me too while you're at it.

I love the way male miqo'te look in game :3 Sure more face options would be nice, but overall I like how they're catty in design. /sit /joy and /cry are my favorite emotes (that ear wiggle >_<)

Why is the term "manqo'te" still being tossed around? It died when 2.0 made males playable.

Manqo'te were guys who played Miqo'te in 1.0 when they were female-only. Like in FF11 with Mantra, it was a term to describe the huge portion of the male player base using the female character (sort of a flag to let players know "I'm a dude by the way").

Manqo'te being used for male Miqo'te looks so stupid. If there needs to be a whole different term for one sex, we might as well start using Manafell, Manur, Manezen, and Mangadyn...

So, I created my bfs character and he's a male miqote. I don't know if it's because he looks like myself (in some way, tried to make us the 'perfect couple') but he looks sexy as hell - in my very humble and honest opinion.

Aesthetics aside, the problem with the male miqo'te is that they run like they're trying to make it to the litter-box before they uh...have an accident.

And the eyes are for some reason very...off-putting. Maybe he was just wide-eyed, but it looks disturbing to me. That pic looked like he was trying to go for a cute/attractive look...which is....ergh.

I was male miqo'te when first time play this, but unfortunately because all race except highlander and roegadyn don't have muscle slider, I use Fantasia from first month subscribe to change into Highlander. If only all male have muscle slider... I could change back to male miqo'te again.

I honestly like Miqo'te most when it comes to currently playable races. I'm not exactly satisfied with how mine turned out, but I'm saving the Fantasia in case I like the looks of the new race enough to play it. Lalafell's are fun to make, but they're just too short for me, makes it hard to see the outfits as well. And Elezen/Roe are tricky to make look good, at least to me. And not much desire to just play an ordinary human.

But blah blah, different tastes for different people. But I tend to like pretty boys more, just with my taste in men.

Srsly, The Twelve help us all when he turns 18...), but I'm not gonna ask for a complete makeover of the race. :s

Oh, because a muscled "macho" guy with stubbles is not generic/bland at all... yeah, right. Why does everything have to revolve around sexiness, to begin with??

What is true is that their default hand pose looks bad - I understand the reasoning, but they just went overboard with it, "ready to attack" turned into "look I have arthritis"; would also prefer a face looking more forward than down in default idle pose, and maybe a proper /sit, not a squat disguised as such. But really, that's it - and actually, these and pretty much everything else is explained in / comes from lore, so....

That said, I do agree that almost everything in character creation could use a lot more options, especially in a game where closed skill trees account to having clones on a more-than-enough level anyway. Why on earth would not all males have a muscle slider for example is baffling (and no, I'm not interested in arbitrary excuses, such as packets and network load, we don't live in the 56k era anymore).

i am not sure what you mean? the character i have now is my only character, not an alt. i made a female miqote because it is the ebst looking for armor..i guess you can call that eyecandy...but the majority was because lalas are too small, elezen are too big, same for rogs and highlanders..and midlanders have just some really akward poses imo, miqote however (both male AND female) when adjusted to the smallest height, are perfect for how i want my character to be.i am specific when it comes to design and style.

I was a mancat for a while. Two weeks before I realized they just don't work for me cause no matter how you try they just feel too young for me to have a connection to my char, their hair selection is godawful due to having to work around the ear placement, their ears destroy headgear, their tails obstruct the view of their rear, eye markings, they have no muscle slider.... To name a few.

Never been happier than when I switched to Roe. Made me forget I was ever a Midlander since 1.0 release. I'm telling you, looking back at my old screenshots makes me go "Whoa, who the hell was that?!" Now, I mostly have no issues with other feline players. SOME of them actually do look very nice. The others have derpy faces but, every once in a while a cat will cross my path that will make my blood boil >.>;;;
