Well it says on the site new disclosed info revealed in the magazine, so might have 'little' new info + interview stuff is always fun to read if it has something new, different. FFXI one was same some were good, some said new info but most already knew about it, have to actually see it to find out lol.

looking at the JP side and 2ch nothing really major. I checked with my book store they wont have it till tomorrow and even that isn't 100% guarantee since it's special edition books and they might not import right away.
Anyways got few bits of info from some on the forums here so I'll post those but probably nothing really interesting.
Michael Site? he works for SE so doubt has leaked info just info on what the magazine is about to make people buy looking at how he added link to amazon. He's funny guy met him at FFXI Fan Fest before)

One thing I see is the interview talks about till 1.21 patch, dunno the details since it doesn't say.
Also shows YoshiP daily work info from morning to finish, has some image illustrations that hasn't been shown before, one is air ship, dunno the other one. Has monster info, NM pop locations, drops, active/non-active mob, gathering spots with map, talks about AIM/APPROACH for gather, quest data, how to read Eorzea's language/text (might be fun to read)

Well, from the grand company quest, we already know that Bards will be in the game as well. I hope they plan on adding these new classes with the same patch as the job system. That would be REALLY cool

Yeah, it's like in FFXI excluding Synergy and Fishing you can only master 1 thing but even with 60+ in the rest you can still make plenty of things thats profitable -- XIV wise at rank 50 you already can make and supply most of the gear/food/items/etc so with cap raise it depends on how they handle what's at the "mastered" level.

problem is this game is NOT ff11. i do not want to have to look for people to fix my stuff. they better not add a limit to crafts that not fair. If i want to be able to repair all my gear i should be able to repair all my gear.....
If market economy was "fair" it wouldn't even exist and everything would be sold by NPC's. MMO soviet union style.
Monopolization needs to be stopped. That's something crafters will have to deal with.
9/10 you're playing an HD version of a FFXI character. Why are they adding Chocobos in FFXIV? And Airships? Those were in previous FF games, XIV is not FFIII or IV or V or VI or VI or VIII or IX.
This is the greatest misconception, SE allowed you to level everything for freedom, which is why people seem to be against being social, you don't have to do everything yourself, it's ok to find someone else to help you with something. lol.

Not the point. By limiting how many crafting Classes you can take to full level, they are basically reclassifying DoH as something less than the other Disciplines. If the plan is to level as many DoW/M/L as you want, why limit you on DoH? It's not internally consistent. Are they going to limit how many Disciplines you can level in the other groups as well? If not, then why do it at all?
Repairing might change completely with this dark matter stuff we juts got so I wouldn't worry too much about that part (just guessing)
I just didn't want to go through the crap I did in FFXI making 2nd char just for another crafting and specially if you need sub-class you had to do that class too... was pain in the butt... but oh well... if it happens it happens... it's way to control market/players so it should have something for sure. At least it's still low priority so don't have to worry about it for a while I think, they got other stuff they need to fix up first :)
From the get go DoH was stated to be support type classes, which they stated again recently they're seen as more support, don't know why people got a different idea.
It wouldn't make sense to limit DoW or DoM, especially with the upcoming Job system. It makes sense towards the support class because you need a focus in an MMORPG -- FFXIV's biggest issue it was heavily unfocused because you can do everything with absolutely no restriction beyond the amount of set points you have.Quote:

You can level as many things as you want, you just won't be able fully level a DoH presumably, which is fine, because Rank 50 you can already do pretty much everything.
If we can not level each craft then there will be LESS crafters but the SAME amount of people looking for repairs dont you people get that. ONE craft a person makes sense in FF11 BECAUSE THERE WAS NO REPAIRS. We rely 100% on crafters to repair gear to 100% without paying a crazy amount of money to a NPC WHO ONLY REPAIRS IT TO 75%
And BTW there are a lot of MORE succesful MMOs that do not rely on people are much as ff11 and ff14 in fact 15 million subs in wow prove you all wrong.
The repair system works because 1 person can repair a lot of peoples gears because he/she can level a lot of crafts. if this system is going to work and not be a hurdle you NEED to not limit thing that people WANT to do. I WANT to level a lot of crafts and no limit from ff11 that makes ZERO sense in this game should stop me from doing that.
However if you take away the repairs altogether then i think its fair to limit crafts. You people need to realize this is not ff11 so stop trying to make it ff11.
It isn't anything, why no one is playing this game yet people are indeed playing FFXI (by the hundreds of thousands by the way, still around 400k+), it's a bit ironic people want XIV to be like WoW or Tera or Rift though because they have "standard MMORPG features", how do you think they're standards? They're shared between multiple MMOs which makes them MMORPG-2 in essence, so your little "stop trying to make it into FFXI" already failed the second you created your character -- Did you know Elezen, Miqote, Hyur, Rogedyn and Lalafell are based on the FFXI races?
Because it seems being social = the bad thing for MMORPGs of this generation, which is why everyone wants solo play be just as if not more rewarding than group play.Quote:

Limited crafts to max level is unnecessary and was a big let down in ffxi.There is no reason why i shouldn't be able to level whatever i want on 1 char.is one of the strong points of this game in the first place.I hate alts.

Believe it or not, you can still have focus without limiting the highest level one can achieve in support classes. The level you achieve, or number of classes you have shouldn't be the means of doing so, anyways. And if someone can work around this by simply purchasing more characters, how has it worked to help "focus" the game?
As for being able to do everything at 50, that's a rather short sighted statement. The level cap will increase later on, and there certainly will be plenty added for those higher levels. There are, and I am sure, will be new recipes that require multiple Classes, and unless they work to prevent it ahead of time, you are going to end up hitting items in your mastered Class which you won't be able to synth because of a required sub level. It happened in FFXI, so I could easily see it happening again here if they don't pay attention.
Honestly, there isn't a good reason to do it.
