please give us alexander! he could be like a huge castle thingy and we have to go in him and break down his mechanics and cores or something. he could be an acutal dungeon
i love Alexander hes my fave! :D or even an actual place and people live in him lol.
Alexander has only been a castle in one FF, usually he looks like a giant mechanical entity in older FF and in the newer FFs he looks kind of like titan. I wouldn't mind him being a primal flying fortress for the garlean army he could function like ark destroying cities.
If they do add him, I just really hope they can top his FFIX and FFXI appearances - Since in FFXI Alexander was an entire set of raids, a summon, (he was technically only a spirit), fought against Odin and was part of the overall lore of an entire nation. In FFIX, he was summoned to protect Alexandria and Garnet/Eiko from Bahamut.
Nah, he's usually seen as a castle or some kind of 'podium' with holy people, so in multiple he's been a castle. Though in XI he's not as much of a castle as he is a mech/giant set of undersea ruins.
Dont ruin him like they did in FFXIII. he looked like a friggin stupid mess...so UGLY but in drive mode he didn't look too bad.
atleast he wasnt a damn vehicle. god forbid.
He has a castle type of look but he's always been a machina darn ffx >_<
I want Alexander to appear in a future patch/expansion as the Primal of the goblins, similar to the moogles and their king! The goblins can be another beast tribe, and it'll be awesome :D
What I really want for the Bahamut fight is to have to kill various parts of him before taking on his head or something. Maybe the final Coil turn is a 24-man Raid, and you have to simultaneously attack him in various places.
Emerald or Ruby weapon wouldn't go a miss I could dig two hour open world fights. And instant wipes for not downing it in certain stages.
Yep Hildibrand Episode 4 (2.4) will be about Hildibrand Vs Godbert Vs Gilgamesh Vs Ultros
It will be the GREATES BATTLE EVER TOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or the most funniest battle ever told because heck they're putting FF series 4 funniest characters in 1 Hildibrand episode and for future Hildibrand episodes to arrive.
PS anyone else notice Enkidu (aka the chicken) was eating a Chicken leg during the episode 4 preview?
I don't know, all of the posts here sound so interesting to someone who is just now reaching the 40s and pushing to 50 and end game. As a leveling player perspective, I hope we see some more lower level dungeons at some point, especially in the 30-49 area.
I don't think that should be a priority though and they should focus on end game content and new classes rather than low level stuff, but changing up the low level experience with a few more dungeons and possibly low level hunts in a leve quest style, isn't a bad idea either with any left over free time.
While I agree with you, reaching the endgame in this game only takes a month or so. More endgame content than existed in 2.0 was definitely needed.
That said, each patch has included new things for the non-endgame too: chocobo feeding, siteseeing, glamours (to a lesser extent since they still require one class at 50), desynthing, personal rooms (though I guess that does require level 47 for AV), ventures, and some lower level dungeons (Sunken Temple of Qarn, Cutter's Cry, and maybe one other were added in 2.1 or 2.2 I think - dunno, wasn't around then). 2.4 will include weddings (which shouldn't require a 50?) and a new class (which might be story-locked, or might not be).
I hope the expansion also includes a bunch new things for new players. We do know that it'll include new jobs at least, and that'll be new content for newer players definitely.
Actually, I just checked, and I'm totally wrong :( They were in 2.0. No new low level dungeons have been added yet, I just always thought they were in 2.1. So, yeah, I agree with you that new low level dungeons would be nice.
They did, however, add DR in 2.1, which makes low level dungeons much easier to run.
Also, Beast Tribe quests were added with patches 2.1 and 2.2, and those are pre-50 content (starting at about 42). Treasure Maps (added in 2.1) also start at 40. 2.1 also gave us FC housing, which is content for all levels if you're into that sort of thing. The Aesthician was added in 2.1 too.
I think new low level dungeons will come with new races, if they had new starting areas. Right now if they add new areas without another race, then it would be expected to send you there at that point in the story line, which is after you are already 50, so adding in lower level dungeons to those new areas wouldn't jive much with the flow of the content.
Well, there's a big difference between one class at 50 and all classes at 50. I have two classes at 50 and I'm still running plenty of low level dungeons to get my other classes up. The Armory System really encourages this, as well as the cross-class skills. And, even with every class at 50, the DR bonus for Low Level Roulette is pretty sweet at 50 (it gives endgame currency).
So, new low level dungeons would be nice for nearly everyone. More high-level dungeons were definitely needed first though, since they benefit long-term subscribers the most and keep the subscriptions active.
Nuuuuh! don't move away from primals. keep introducing new and old/loved FF series primals! keep givin us badass fights againts these names from earlier games xD
whoa so many new ideas and suggestions while i was gone for a 12hours sleep o.O
no mention on Ultima and Omega from Vincent story of FF7?
Shiva was never confirmed as the boss for 2.4. Just saiyan.
Yoshida already confirmed Shiva won't appear in 2.4 or even 2.5. just story related to her.
^ The story is going to start building up towards Shiva, with no actual mention of when we're gonna face off against the ol' icepop.
According to Yoshi-P Shiva has a rather complicated story to go with her, but now that we have Ishgard opening soon, we're going to be quite busy dealing with that and depending on which way the Crystal Braves go.
boooooo why take a short one :S
There's a whole other backstory sitting quietly in Little Ala Mhigo, Southern Thanalan. Rhalgr.
