Congrats to everyone that's gotten the kill. Very, very awesome.
Is it gay that I was giggling when I saw Mog's video? Maybe don't answer that. :D

When we did Batraal we had no one die and the mages had plenty of mp... Like I said it's all about positioning and mp management. Once you're able to grasp those two it's pretty darn easy. We also had two chests pop. One gold one and one silver. Grats to you guys Daeva LS.
They don't need to nerf anything. People just need to learn to adapt to the changes that were implemented. Although in my opinion the hate alg and mp costs will eventually change I personally hope it doesn't.
Video soon!
Bosses don't need nerfs, they need additional design to account for over-stacked parties. That's all... if they were to reduce numbers to the point where mistakes could be made without consequence, encounters would be pretty trivial
(although they could go the route of making some things more accessible while still having certain hard mode bosses, i.e. Ultimate Weapon, to still provide long-lasting challenges for the more hardcore audience... but that's another topic altogether)
The party composition is what scares me the most: It has pigeonholed certain classes as the "easy-mode" way to beat the Darkhold. Does anyone want to go the hard way? No. Not in a timed dungeon.
Thus, I as a Lancer, am screwed.
GG, Square.
Yup its possible but only if u wanna prove that you can do it with pure close range DD. With Ogre its a bit harder to with close range DD than Batraal. Batraal is only annoying because of its adds and temp immunity. Archers were mainly used to **********, unlock Blue Circles and quickly attack Batraal from standing in one area, also the add group mages can stand in one place, outside of batraal, and heal add group.
well 1.18 was only the first of the battle changes so were gonna see more changes next patch
Nothing better than killing Batraal and getting 3 Grade 5 dark matters.
Congrats all on the kill! Very cool looking encounter.
I will say... A dungeon to be cleared and beaten 3 days after it was implemented seems... I dunno... awful quick to me for supposed "end game content". So, now more people figure out the strategy, and it goes on farm status... everyone gets their gear and then waits around for... who knows how long... 'til the next dungeon is implemented.
Now, before someone goes all extremist on me and says "so you want them to take years like AV in FFXI?" No. I'm not saying that. However, for an entire dungeon that likely took SE months to design, produce, script, test and such to take barely a weekend for players to complete seems like it could lead to some serious issues down the road with gaps in end-game content, especially since they basically let you repeat them, what, 5 or 10 minutes after your previous run?
I mean, how many times can people run the same dungeon before they're completely sick of it?
Perhaps they have plans for some more epic dungeons to supplement these shorter ones that will be far larger, far more difficult and take longer to complete. Perhaps they'll go with the "multiple wing" concept a lot of raid content has these days, so there's multiple paths/routes to take through and you're not fighting all the same stuff each time. They did say that there would be content intended for short-term, more casual play as well as more difficult and involved content for larger groups...
Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
unfortunately people don't have the smarts to even move outta tiny conal aoe's atm... it's so laughably easy too but every1 acts like they're glued to the floor o.O Has nothing really to do with balance, it's people being stubborn, stupid, and lazy lol Complain if you will but putting everyone as range will only make their sticky feet alot worse. Sorry for the cliche but people need to L2P ... it's as simple as that >.<
The bladedancer boots come from the 2nd chest. I'm not sure if you're including the ogre's chest--there's at least 6 available prior to Batraal if you do.
