A tank did this to us yesterday with no warning at all. I went in with my friend into DF as my white mage. Got in said, hello, no response. The tank proceeds to pull EVERY single enemy to the front of the door before the first boss. Of course we wipe. No matter how strong my heals are, they are simply not fast enough to handle 20+ enemies on one target.

We get the boss. Then the tank proceeds to run into the next area and again pull EVERY single enemy including the raptors and couerl into the huge band of goblins. Again, we wipe. I'm definitely fine with a few big pulls, but seriously? I told him/her at that point, pull less or I'm gone. I'm tired of wasting my time wiping on tanks that think they're god and pull huge mobs that are all but unhealable.

There is harm though if they were to do that, at least for them. Even if they slow people down by just a little bit, the tedium from collecting myth will gate some people and keep them subbed barring them becoming so disillusioned with the game that they outright quit.

Yes, I said with one friend might be okay, but not an entire premade. Roulette was put in the game to reduce queue times for people trying to do specific dungeons. I never have to wait longer than 5-10 minutes on damage dealer jobs for level 50 dungeons anymore. I remember when it used to be 30mins to an hour. If you could queue for roulette with all 4-8 people, it would defeat the purpose of roulette, and you'd be rewarded for nothing.

The purpose for roulette was getting more players into the less run dungeons as newer players were leveling and experiencing them. Queuing with friends would defeat the purpose because you would no longer be running it with players who are trying to do the instance and can't because of a lack of participants. However, in this case, they wouldn't be able to do the instance because of a lack of participants (premade party) and they no longer have 3 other strangers to go with.

This is an extreme case, but that is what the system was designed for. Getting random people to fill out a party that was attempting to run an instance but couldn't find members.

Ran into a tank yesterday that ran around pulling every mob, then never used flash. So naturally the 2 dps seeing the PLD pulling 9 mobs start bombing AoEs, then all of thone mobs turn on DPS and kill them quickly. The PLD replies "WTF are you guys doing, attack what I am attacking" Communication seems to be a 4 letter word in DF these days. The speed run mentality doesn't help either, those who want SR never seem to ask or accept any other way.

I guess this means I can get easy soldiery by attempting to join in progress Brayflox runs.

Going to be milked to death until yoshi adds more gates / barriers etc.
Similar to hakkuke hm and lost city.
Possibly buff up bosses like u must kill adds to take off stoneskin on boss similar to halicarnassus in hakkuke hm.
Yoshi will probably see bray hm being abused soon enough as he did when ppl went nuts with WP speed runs.

Devs please look @ this thread !! What happening in brayflox is serious stuff that ruin DF play for peoples , add myths only for ----> LAST BOSS CLEAR<--- in this dungeon , make them just drop with Soldiery , or just remove myth from this dung at all , make ppl's happy pls !

Oh I'm sure something will happen with this, its just too much of a glaring issue lol. I'm just curious what they will do. Probably just modify reward at the end.

I don't really want them taken away Myth from the first two bosses, as doing speed runs is perfectly fine in your own pre-formed group. No reason to take this away from a group of friends or party members who's sole purpose is Myth tomes.

However, the DF issue should be addressed. Hopefully, doing something like adding 50 Myth to the final bosses would help alleviate the issue (especially since the only loot you ever get from these final bosses is Filtered Waters or bottles of sherry).

I know this is a Brayflox complaint thread. But I had a war pull all the mobs in Amdapor HM and I was healing on sch. With all the poisons and paralize, there was no way I could keep up. War did it again after first boss. I was barely keeping up and then we all died with double poisons that was impossible to keep up on. War bailed after 2nd wipe. I was very angry. That was totally rude.

Honestly, I've never had that issue. They leave the brayflox farming to party finder with CLEAR instructions stating they will not be going to the last boss.

Not once have I qued for brayflox, as a DPS, and had them leave after the second boss... but then again each server is different.

Issue is that people don't just leave. A lot of them try to force you to kick them, so they can get around the abandon penalty and jump right back in to screw another group over.

I like the idea of converting your capped soldiery tomes to myth, that would incentive people to stay the whole run.

In runs where we don't open all chests, I do a quick run-through again once everyone else has left. I go in as WHM, so generally I end up dying right after i open the last chest, but it's worth it to me :) Nothing like uncontested gear drops!

I think the best solution is to just make it so any soldiery you earn past the weekly cap is converted to myth. Helps people farm myth faster without ruining DF Brayflox runs.

True, but the controversially moral side of me says that you don't want to cater to people like the ones in question for this thread. Assisting their bad behavior and outlook just sweeps the problem under the rug so that it can emerge even worse later on.

This happened to me on my first run of Halitali. I had teamed up with an FC member to run it for the experience (it was a day or two after the patch dropped) and after the second boss I was kicked from the instance. As the healer was a friend I know it was the other two who were responsible. We both reported them.

Fortunately it has never happened since. All I have had is people legginf it at the start of Apmador.

They should have had it so boss 1 drops 10% of both Sold and Myth, boss 2 drops 40% of Sold and Myth and the last boss drops 50% of the sold and myth.

I would never vote to kick someone who asks to be kicked. I rather 3 man the rest of the dungeon. Problem with that is you can't 3 man the last boss if it's a healer that isn't playing nice.

I dislike people pressuring you to go fast on Brayflox hard :(. I tanked it for my first time (was always WHM before) and the healer kept trying to force me to go faster T-T. I didn't think I was going too slowly, I was trying my best to not take too long.

Ive only had to do this once, but one time a healer demanded an AK speedrun, and said he would keep pulling for the tank untill we either finished or kicked him, which was not to the liking of the rest of the group.

I organised a sit in, and we sat and made him wait his 30 mins before finally disbanding.

Thats not a bad thing though, why wouldn't you want to help a group finish a dungeon and get a reward for doing so.

Even if there was communication, DPS just attacking his target (without flash or halone rotations) wouldn't have worked, as with so many mobs on him the healer would have to be spamming big heals and all but the tank's target would soon have heals for lunch.

I haven't had anyone try to get kicked after the first two bosses yet but they should divide both tome rewards equally between all three bosses in my opinion. If you want the last boss to be extra significant then make it so you only get body drops (and maybe legs) from them and leave it at that. If you put all the tomes into the last boss we will just have another problem with people playing the CT withdraw game until they get an in process run.

As for the speed run issue, Brayflox HM is getting a bit silly now, people are trying to make it 3-4 pulls for the whole dungeon. Missing out the chests is annoying to me as well as I'm trying to gear up secondary jobs and the darklight is useful. Not only that but SE did seem to put an anti speed run mechanic in to Brayflox anyway with the Glider mobs, they seem to have random aggro so if the tank pulls 27 of them at once they will attack me on BLM even if I don't have hate at all on them. The tank might be able to take the pain but I can't on BLM and I find that's what's causing most of my wipes in Brayflox, the healer ends up having to heal me and the tank and it's too much, I can't even help out by reducing enmity as I didn't have hate in the first place.

Yeah this right here. As a healer I really wish tanks and DPS would understand that this is a tricky part, the goblin glider's Glider Rush, ignores hate and attacks a random party member, and hits hard. As a SCH this can completely overwhelm as our only big heal is Lustrate, and it's single target, if aether flow is on cool down, it can easily cause a wipe.

Even when I am doing well in a speed run, this room is almost always a wipe. But the times I'm doing s speed run and here the tank goes one or two packs at a time it goes quick... gee almost like trying to pull the whole room ISN'T the fastest way to do it.

I don't even know how to report someone on FF14, tried to report those gil spammers with many fails lol.

This is now my most despised dungeon, I don't want to do it every time I roulette but it keeps happening every time anyways.

Asked the party if they wanted to speed-run, two said yes, one said nothing. So I was like "Okay, SMN and DRG should do okay, these are both of my main DPS classes, I know they can do some good AoE together."



SMN says her controller is broken and cannot use Shadow Flare...Okay, no problem, they've still got Enkindle, Garuda's AoE attacks, Bane, and several DoTs. No problem...
She never used Bane once in two of the pulls, took 10 minutes to kill about 6 enemies.

Starting to look bad...

The DRG was doing nothing but the Thrust combos, no Phlebotomize, no Disembowel combo, nothing. Just Thrusts and Jump, over and over again. Heavy Thrust occasionally.

I refused to do a dungeon where the DPS is barely doing anything, it's unbelievable how people will willingly go into dungeons, not do rotations, not do combos, have "broken controllers" and all this other nonsense, and expect others to deal with it for hours on end, or at least until the timer runs out and you waste all that time like in another failed Lost City of Amdapor run because both black mages were still in their 45 Job gear. Don't go into Duty Finder if you can't use your class or play well, please go practice on Levequests and Guildhests christ.
