I just wish they'd bend and let me transfer the hair from my first service account to my main one. It's a simple "Lightning event completed? Check"...
I started around the middle of the last Lightning event and only qualified for the ~20 rewards.
I purchased the Steam CE version and thought I could upgrade with that.
Long story short I had to remake on a new Service account and lost the lightning rewards.
Maybe I'll call up SE when finals are over and make the request.
You snooze, you lose.
rather they give us hairstyles of other FF characters, would love to have selphies hairstyle. or better yet past FF vanity outfits, you can wear their outfit or trasmog your entire body to look like them
i'd give anything to play as selphie >.<
I love these forums. All through Beta and the first couple of months of this game the forums were filled with people asking SE for stuff that had only been in 1.0 or were rewards for the Legacy campaign. People were complaining that it was unfair that they didn't have the chance to get them because they didn't play during 1.0.
6 Months later it's "Sorry, limited time only means limited time only".
Now I don't want to be the first person to call out hypocracy, but...
/As to your request, OP. Have some hope, they did cave in to the people asking for 1.0 stuff. The Goobbue had a very minor tweak and was re-released. And some 1.0-exclusive items are now available through retainer quests. so maybe you'll get your lightning hair with one lock twisted in the other direction or something.
"Put the work"? You guys are making this sound like you went through a grueling gauntlet in order to get the hairstyles. Hell, the unlocking CT questline takes more effort than the Lightning Fates. I hope the hairstyles get mass-released in the future for all the Lightning and Snow (gross) fans out there.
Is it typical in MMOs for people to demand for limited time items to be re-released O_o?! Whats the point of calling them limited then?
Only after they give other clans separate clan-specific emotes. It's not fair that Hyur can have different emotes by clan and other races can't!
I actually think people that did the event should get the hairstyle for both Genders, some people did it as the other gender so when they did the Fantasia to switch Genders for sexy appeal or whatever they now don't have the hairstyle. I completely understand on the items but the Hairstyle reward should count for both Genders, with Fantasia potions going for sell this will be an even bigger issue soon.
Greetings,
We do not currently have any plans to hold another Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII collaboration event, and we do not have any plans to add Lightning’s hairstyle to the Aesthetician or make it available from event vendors.
Eh I would like them to revisit.. I know they wont and it is fine I just didnt hit 50 fast enough to get the shirt cause I love snows outfit, so I only got the pants..would love to get the shirt somehow.
I mean if they are going to sell fantasia, I don't see a problem with selling this. It wouldn't be that different from the preorder DLC in Lightning Returns, people got it free for preordering and then people who didn't could buy it for like $3.
Fantasia and limited time events (in this case a one time thing, 2 if you count them bringing it back again for NA launch) are not one in the same. If they decide to do it again though I wouldn't really have an issue with it as I'm already not the biggest XIII fan. That said I'm glad it was available only for those who were there for the occasion, and am also glad they have no plans to do it again, which keeps the rewards special in a way.
I did it twice on two different characters, I now have a 3rd going and would love to have the clothes available to them. I don't really care who else gets it either. My only grief is if I used one of my pots to change from say male to female could I turn in the snow clothes for lightning clothes. So yes, lets see this as a once a year event?
You should still be able to get it as long as you started the event iirc. Forget the name of the npc you can buy it from though. Im sure someone here knows.
Fantasia was originally just a one time special item you got for subscription rewards (or two time if you got one for playing 1.0), but then they decided they were going to sell them.
Hairstyle is a part of your character's base appearance. Having limited gear is fine because it's just gear, but your character is your character.
Glad SE is sticking to their guns for once and keeping something exclusive. Just like the legacy campaign, the Lightning event was announced and advertised very clearly. In fact, Lightning struck twice (once in November and again in February), and lasted just over a month each time. There was plenty of time to complete it and you only have yourself to blame if you didn't take advantage of it.
There are already enough 1.0 exclusives that SE has caved on and made available in ARR (seasonal items, primal weapons, the goobbue mount). We don't need to start doing that with ARR exclusives.
I have a question. I have a character that didn't get a chance to exchange an otherworldly parcel during the event. Is there any way to exchange it right now?
People are being too spoiled about this, its just hair.
Make it available to new players.
Since Bravely Default outsold lightning returns we should get Ringabel's pompadour.
inb4 its purchasable from Gold Saucer tokens along with hair and clothes of other FF series characters.
We already had 2 lightning returns events...Repeat events are a drag if they occur too often because, usually, only one event takes place at a time. And I don't like the idea of being able to get event items from the calamity salvager because then what is the point of an "event" item.
They will probably hold the same event in a year or so, you'll have to wait it out and see.
