Hell, I play about as often as you do. I work an 8-4 job and go to uni from 5-10, so absolutely no play time during the weekdays and might not even play during the weekends because I like spending time with my friends, and I honestly don't see it as such a big deal.

And before you say you actually want to progress in this game, well, so do I. Probably even more so than you, considering I'm an endgame type of player.

Sucks to hear that but I'm willing to bet that 98% of us are not in such a predicament. Oh and I have a full time job also... and a life.. Perhaps you should come up with some viable alternatives to the ideas you dont like instead of just saying "Nobody is forcing you to do it so don't" because that's not exactly a realistic option in all cases. I would not enjoy playing a "traveling game" which is what this game would be for players like me who have little time to play if anima was removed or restricted like the OP clearly wants done.

I'm still not entirely sure why people want anima out. If anything, the existence of anima adds incentive to the devs to do more with chocobos/airships/_insert travel method here_ than just getting around quickly to ensure that people actually use them.

Should they limit it? Probably, but there's no feasible reason to get rid of it.

Thats partially true, i do have a bad temper and i do start throwing names around but again, in any other post you have stuck your nose into that im involved in i have provided alternatives.. you simply refuse to read them. I didn't beg anyone to do anything, I've only been asking why everyone is so brainless, lame and lazy in their thinking these days.

Brainless, Lame and Lazy are descriptive words.. not names and I guess i was wrong in saying EVERYONE.. i shouldnt generalize.. What i mean is.. MOST everyone. This game sir cannot be everything that YOU want it to be.. Considering you only have a few precious hours to play.. I dont see why the option of limiting anima is not a viable option.. in this option.. anima wouldn't be gone it would simply give incentive to players who spend it all to use different was of traveling.. are you trying to tell me that in 2 hours you usually spend 100 anima points?

I'm just saying, I'm limited on time as well so we might as well make everything time consuming within the game move 10x faster right? Why waste time when you could hit FF/Hyper Speed button and just blow this game out of the water in seconds.. right? Whos got time anymore??? RIGHT???????? There needs to be some give and take and what you and everyone else who thinks just leaving anima at 100 points is not a viable option because people like to PLAY with each other and if people start refusing to use their anima because they like to travel other people will oust them... just like the toggle on off option for the rest of that crap.. we cant just toggle everythign off because then people we're playing with will be pissed we aren't using it.. and NO... im not going to make a toggle off LS just to play with people like that... There needs to be a happy medium or create separate server for people like you... and people like me... OR one of us has to be unhappy about some of this but I cant figure out why SE cant take a little more creative of an approach to these situations.

Playing the game is preferable to me over "traveling" to be able to play the game.

What does that have to do with crafting fast or fighting fast or farming fast?

I want to be able to use the majority of my gametime to craft and fight and farm, not use the majority of my gametime traveling to be able to craft and fight and farm.

This I can understand - It would give players an opportunity to be social - as a gathering point/meeting point.

Where everyone would be so you could find someone to repair your gear, party with, make friends, hold meetings, etc.

Yes it does but it's some middle ground from using it when and wherever you want, they still have to travel.

Yeah but there are other type of restrictions you can place. Insert imagination...
Like only allowing the aetherytes in the current area or to certain camps....etc etc.

Alot of great suggestions were brought up, unfortunately no dev response

Here are some ideas I've said before:

1. Leave or limit the system we have now but make all add on areas null to Anima so that you cannot use it to leave or teleport to or from the new areas (and Mor Dhona/Coerthas whatever they are called).
2. Add in the goby bag method.
3. Limit how far you can travel with anima from your current area.
4. add all of the above together.

After all.. these areas are all pretty much starter areas, leave them easy.. but the new addon areas.. comon.. part of the danger of the game is traveling through some scary shit! You could use a chocobo or get a mage to teleport you to an area you've already visited, but these new areas (and the harder ones named above) should not be an easy traveling task like the starter areas.

Dude you have no idea how much I concur with that line.

That sense of danger is exhilirating to me.

I would want to see the anima removed completely and or used only at a very small number of areas

Well, this may be a bit of a long shot because I doubt they will be adding more continents for awhile, but;

Keep the teleporting system the way it is now, but keep it limited to Eorzea. And perhaps maybe with the little areas that are still unreleased in Eorzea(because that map indicates that we can't explore it all yet) make up some reason that the Aetheryte magic cannot reach there and limit that too. Just a thought I've had more than once. I think it could work.
Perhaps make new areas a tad bit smaller too.

Why cant something like the Out Posting quests be added in? Listen, im not about not making things easier, i just dont want it all handed over without any work involved.

Give us the option to make it easier for ourselves without simply handing that option over on a silver platter.

I'm a huge fan of the "only able to teleport while at an aetheryte" idea. That makes them seem like even more of a hub then.

discovering an aetheryte isnt exactly a colossal task... 100 ainma straight off the bat and actually accruing 6 anima per day is being handed to me.... No work involved in auto accrual. and FYI Im also against gaining back MP/HP by just standing and doing nothing or running around.. healing from FFXI was just fine with me.. there is hardly any reason anymore to use any spells like MP siphon... I guess im ok with health/mp regen... but jeese.. slow it WAY down.... It regens back stupid fast. but i guess this would also cut into your precious hour time to play.

Kinda like, if you wanted to throw your kid a birthday party but only had 3 hours to do so.

So much could be implemented that would add content to the game if SE did it right...
Like certain quests that you had to complete at every single aetheryte camp, and when you completed it then you could use that camp as a teleportable area. It would add a challenge and it felt like it was worth it then when you were able to teleport there. It's really up to SE and what they plan on doing

I already said I'm playing for about an hour or two about 2 times a week, maybe three times if I'm lucky.

And no, I do not want to "travel" in order to be able to play the game for the MAJORITY of the gametime I have.

With ONLY 6 anima PER DAY to use AFTER I have done the WORK of unlocking an aetheryte I would like to teleport to, I am ALREADY "traveling" nearly AS MUCH as I am actually playing the game.

For example - it takes 15mins to run from Limsa to Skull Valley and then another 15mins to run back to Limsa.

That is HALF my normal gameplay session for "traveling" to and from ONE place!!!

Please, just go "travel" all you want with your gametime (you have the OPTION to do so right now!!!!) and stop begging SE to make sure players who have limited time to play will have to "travel" the majority of their gametime instead of actually playing the game.
