Nice vid. I liked how you matched your cutting with the music, it starts off really well and keeps the viewer entertained. But then in the middle with the standing still scenes where you show the clouds moving it gets a bit boring, and then for a bit the scenes you picked and how you put them together gets weird.

Then you move back to what you where doing in the beginning and it ends pretty well. Overall really enjoyed game music vid, be proud because not many people can pull them off easily. I think if you do more you'd make some really awesome vids. *thumbs up*

Oh yeah I like that you used different angles in your shots too.

edit: Don't worry too much about people not liking your choice of music, that's going to happen pretty much no matter what unless you pick something we all know and love. As long as the music matches well with your movement and what you are trying to show, you are doing well.

Oh please, I said it was beautiful did I not? Am I not entitled to my opinion saying that eorzea is a bland place that has nothing much more to show than what was shown in the video?

Of all the post bashing his video/choice of music/editing skills, you pick mine to bash, really? I didn't say anything to hurt the OP, the vid is nice and the clips he chose are beautiful. I still think that Eorzea is a bland world that lacks badly of uniqueness and diversity.

I have nothing against you but I think you are overreacting a bit too much. What I said was civil and I had every right to state my opinion on the matter. Even if it has been stated over and over, I still can do it if I wish to.

I do agree that people could be a little more polite when critisizing the video, obviously there was work put into it and the video in itself is great and nicely done. People can have their opinion but there's no call really to just say that in such a mean way.

I'm also one of those japanophiles lol. I made this video a while back , didn't really spend as much time as i did with the other video and also didn't have many in-game clips to go with, so i added cutscences and turned out ok i guess. Also has one of my favorite jpop songs. ;)

hopefuly the enviroments get crazy lookin when they unlock the rest of the game.

Sorry, It may have been a nice try, but there is such better, more creative videos out there on FFXIV. Example Traveling Jake. When you make a video showing off "the world" its hard to be positive when the world sucks. It like giving a video tour of my bathroom, its not fun or interesting, not many people care for it...and it has a funny smell when i do my biznass.

At least your trying something, which i give you credit for, but id say choose something different, like LS events you do, your random going ons, or get creative.

I really do miss the old XI. Level sync and Abyssea mostly killed it quicker than (insert metaphor here)

So your comparing my SCENERY video to a completely different type of video and then assume this is the only type of FFXIV video i've done? Gotcha.

It's ok for you guys to support your movement with the Eorzea redesign (even thou its a waste of time and already been confirmed they will be doing something about it), and i couldn't agree anymore with you that Eorzea needs some work. But you don't have to come into someones thread and bash them with pointless insults because they made a video based on something you want replaced. Other people liked the video, your not the only one in this forum so get a grip. There's plenty of other threads for you to complain about your terrain, go there and stop spreading your garbage.

The castle is in Coerthas, northeast of Prominence Point node, position is (14, 39) lots of aggressive lvl50ish Hogs and Antilopes there so gotta be careful. Also get a nice view of Ishgard from that corner northwest. ;)

hey dude i didnt bash your video, in fact i technically complimented you. i didnt watch the video because i for one do not think the existing zones are very artistic, its just my opinion.
also my opinion, the few small areas that are neat to look at are probably the ones in your video... if so good job in capturing them. i hope we see more of that in particular soon enough.

Final Fantasy/Square-Enix fanboys make up one of the most immature and overly fanatic communities I've ever come across. Except FFXI's, that one's just full of awesome people and elitist mathematicians.

I didn't mind the music, personally. It beats the Linkin Park and Trance videos you see sometimes!

But, FYI, you could have put more scenic locations in.

Anyways, i tried my best to make a scenic video of Eorzea, i recorded what i thought was the best scenes in all zones (i'm sure i missed a lot) and i appreciate the tips and all the positive and negative feedback (minus those who just wanted to be plain jerks). Same here, liked it in general. I didn't mind the music choice, it was fitting with the editing and yes the scenery is beautiful. Sorry if you perceived my post in a bad light, wasn't meant to be that way. Claudus man you're taking some of the critism or .. negative posts really bad. Dont lol, some that are like "omg so shit!" just ignore.

I agree with things like; you missed a lot of "scenic" touches, there are little things that animate or do stuff that you missed, but i assumed it was because your focus is on environments, not the little things, which can overlap in this kind of stuff.

Anywhos just ignore the critism, even when its your first time no one cares, doesnt mean anything these days lol. I get it often XD.
