So many people butthurt about this. Pass that rot!
Nah, google translator won't let me undertand anything. I guess in a few hours we'll know it for sure :D
Healing through it should have stayed. It was a good option due to the presence of really really slow people who are in groups who don't get how to do rot correctly and everyone wipes due to their slowness. *sigh* Not to be too complainy but this game is becoming more of a test of patience by having to be an active tutorial for other people and less about just having fun. -_- Dealing with members that can't dodge friggen piercing laser was bad enough.
LOL, even if SE said it was fine to "enrage" the boss and win, doesn't mean they can't change their mind later.
Also, it was way too easy to enrage it. So easy that, have you seen all the "enrage" groups for t2 in party finder? zomagerd!
Yes, keyword being "currently".
Any details on what actually changed? More damage? Paralysis effect to prevent being able to heal through?
"no exploit" means only they won't ban you if you do it. And "currently" is long ago. Maybe they didn't have the time to change such a small thing that time, but now they had time and were thinking about changing it a while.
Exactly. Way too many people read one thing and assume a million other things. Then they get all angry that their assumptions didn't prove true. That's on them. Not the devs.
Posting that proves NOTHING. It wasn't an exploit, so you weren't going to be banned, and at that exact moment in time they had no plans to change it. That's literally all it meant. It was not a promise to never change it. It was never a promise of anything except that you wouldn't get banned for doing it. Players should honestly have seen this one coming.
oh please be true.
*getting popcorn to watch baddies nerdrage t2 ;p
Ran it Tuesday and it worked
This is delicious if true.
Sove and Nelodar you are correct. Comment was deleted because I realized this. Kneejerk post :x
Either way it shouldn't matter too much becuase they commented in the last Q&A that when the echo buff is applied you would even be able to survive not passing rot or something like that.
Hopefully it's true.
lol 2.2 DF Turn 2 without enrage. Its titan HM for ilvl 55 players all over again.
To many failed Rot they should of removed it, changed it, or adjusted it to be suriveable. Lack of testing by developers & lack of keeping watch on whats going on in this game by developers sickens me!
i got sick & tired of teaching rot to players & Everyone like ok i know what to do now!... then they dont even attempt to do what was talked about, explained, pointed out!. Or still autopassing it! Looking at all your DRG's & monks here!!!!
(usualy a DRG/MNK auto passing due to the bad mechanic of how many i needs to pass to. Or a Bard due to the bad mechanic or having to deal with Rot & silence so healers dont get parazlised because most PLD's cant tank & silence at the same time..... Overall a not well thought out & bad mechanic)
& for those that cant read, yes i can do it. i have also taught people how to do it, i've been there when other have taught people to do it~ many have failed doesnt matter who teaches its to hard for them.
Found the quotehttp://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/143655 (48:08)Quote:
Also, every week that passes after patch 2.2 is implemented “The Echo” buff will start being applied, and while you are in the dungeon you will become stronger, and since your item levels will also be higher, it will be much easier to win. Ultimately it will be eased to the point where even if you eat Piercing Laser or some member dies while passing Allagan Rot around, you’ll be able to endure. You’ll also be able to remove the buff if you want to challenge the Binding Coil of Bahamut at its original difficulty. Rather than saying the difficulty itself will decrease, I think it's more accurate to say that players will be getting stronger every week.
So from what i read, the buff will only increase weekly and not per wipe. If you wish, you can still turn it off and keep doing it the normal way.
But the question still remains...did they change the T2 enrage or not? At this point i just want to know and can adapt as needed and move on.
If people can't do rot maybe they can't do coil. I'm playing the smallest violin right now.
The tears will be delicious in about a day.
tbh i have no problem with the buff to enrage if its true , but ninja buffing it is kinda shitty way of doing it , they should list it in the notes if its true
Nope, they said that you could survive *Lazers* not Allagan Rot. Since someone not passing Rot just ends the encounter and doesn't actually show (on my screen atleast) as hitting for a amount of damage, I would suggest that even with echo buff, not passing rot equals death. However, with echo buff, there is no reason you can't ignore everything else and only worry about rot. It will still be easy... :/
Edit: After I posted this, I saw someone posted the quote I mentioned. I guess they did say you could survive rot!
Cheak the quote "or some member dies while passing Allagan Rot around" if a member dies passing, it gets reset/recast anyway. If a member doesnt pass it, it wipes the party.
So its a joke to add echo when it wont do anything to save us from the noobs (enrage & DF noobs)
:) nice looking forward do t2 tonight and teach new the mechanism.
I just did turn 2 and enrage worked guys.
I did T2 both way, but I only do the normal way since I got a static group. Have buffed the enrage is not a problem, have done it without telling us IS. They say it's not an exploit but change it anyway. I think it taint their credibility with us, the community, in a way we can't really take what they say as truth.
Tanks can survive Allagan Rot exploding by popping a cooldown or having enough HP, since it only does about 7k damage. Hallowed Ground, Holmgang, and Inner Beast can all be used to survive rot. It does not "automatically end the encounter" and I'd imagine that exploding rot would just do large room-wide damage come 2.2.
This reminds me of Dark Devices all over again. Why haven't people learned yet? Lawlz!
I enraged it today and had no problem
It could just be a gear issue?
More or less how I feel. Much as people might try and claim it's fair game because they came out and said it's okay, I don't agree with it. It just kind of cheapens the content if people can face-roll it instead of having to do the actual mechanics. Endgame is about working as a team, IMO, not standing around for 8 minutes and then spamming heals.
