We've been able to do the dungeons properly with ilvl55 weapons, anything after that is just more and more overkill. to the point where you can round up every enemy into a group and just blow them up.

Haha, To be honest why would I write about that? "Random Guy attacks on forum" That is negativ don't you think? And there is far to much negativ people in FFXIV don't you think? Better to write about light things and postive things since that is why people play games. And I know the Irony of attention (I am an Theater actor on my freetime so that is kinda common in that trade)

But I think you are well most likely bored at work or school, so you read threads here which I perfectly understand since the forum is easy to use.

The RNG on Allegan weapons sucks. Once a week for a 1/9 chance. For those that took 30+ tries to get a primal weapon, that'd be more than half a year to get the Allegan.

One of our groups just received their FIFTH scholar book from Twintania. I'll take my guaranteed +1 while I wait, thanks. My own group has multiple bows and monk fists. It's all random.

I think you mean Titan Extreme is an Item LEvel 90 weapon.... Not Titan Hard mode....

I think the changes fit Perfectly. Before there was no incentive to do Titan except for your relic quest as the weapons were equal to Garudas.

Then is Allagan, I'm sorry to say that Turn 5 is the hardest content of the game now, and as such it is perfectly logical that by clearing it you should get the best weapon in the game. If not, what incentive would have people to do it?. And dont forget that as the most difficult drop in the game a ilvl 90 weapon is almost mandatory, so you need your relic +1 for clearing T5.

Then there is Primals Extreme that also drop ilevel 90 weapons, well for me having a variety of choices is allways good. Those weapons allow you to spend your myth on other gear slots and get good weapons for your alts.

Personally, I don't care. I will use Mog weapon. I don't care what the stats are- drawing the weapon and hearing the sound and seeing the Moogle is HILARIOUS.

I don't care if it didn't have stats. That is my weapon now. Most of the gear in this game (aside from AF) is ugly... these are the cutest, most hilarious, and entertaining items in the game for me.... so to heck with Allaghan, forget relic+1, and humbug to Titan- all I care about are Mog weapons.

Moogles have ALWAYS been my favorite part of FF... even when it was just a negative status effect... I laughed so hard. I loved running around as a Moogle in Secret of Mana with the Moogle belt. I laugh the entire fight with King Kupo, and the music is amazing.

If only they had Moogle armor versions of AF. I don't know who came up with these puffballs of adoreability, but they are amazing. I am a 32 year old man with a plushy moogle sitting in my bedroom.

OP, just think of the allagan weapon as your +2 relic, providing of course you actually get the drop for your main... :p

I'd like to see a group kill twintania without i90 weapons... You pretty much need relic +1 to clear the dps checks.

Relic +1 is not pointless and was not a waste. If you can get carried but your FC through twin without a relic +1 then by all means, go ahead.

I understand how they work just fine thank you very much. All your ever doing is chasing a carrot on a stick, your never going to have the best items because they will always release better ones later on. The only thing that counts to me is how much fun I have along the way, most MMO focus on vast amounts of boring grind and I can't say ARR is heading is a different direction then most.

I have 5 Titan Weapons so far (50+ wins) and vastly prefer my Titan Axe to the Skill Speed Relic on WAR. I am happy they made Primal weapons worth something. Besides, there is nothing Relic, about these Relics.

You are looking at Relics as something that will never be upgraded again though. The reason why they got rid of the +1 and instead gave them unique names is because relic weapons are something that you can upgrade overtime as the item lv cap increases. Odds are with the next version update we maybe have 100-105 item level, most likely 100 and if that's the case odds are we will be given a new relic quest to complete.

The perks of relic weapons are you will/should be able to continue to upgrade them however, for the allagan, primal weapons and such they are stagnant in their item level and will remain said item level. So while Relics may be replaced at some point if you obtain allagan or prefer the titan weapon, during the next version update that should change and relic weapons will be on par with the latest batch of gear added into the game.

I definitely think the Relic, Relic +1 are still viable weapons. The next major upgrade is truly your Allagan weapons. Yuki Mushroom over on Faerie has the Allagan Blade and comparing its stats with my +1, it is most definitely better, but harder to get.

There may be future upgrades to the relic to move it beyond lv90. Maybe they will keep it relevant as the item lv cap increases.

probably in 2.2 going to be +2 there is also new AF sets so =)

Probably less than 5% of the player base can beat Turn 5.

OP u miss point of relics/+1 1st off : When game started no one was able to get down t5 to get allagan weapon . 2nd there was no ex weapons . 3rd i think if you won t5 already , you were wielded relic +1 lol . At this rate of game , now relics is ilv 90 weapon that casual player can get , Ex & Coil ones for more hardcores/advanced . So yes there is point in relics for majority ;)

if it wasnt for the titan weapon ilvl increases i would have very little motivation to do titan outside of the relic, ive used titan weapons to hold me over on 3 different jobs until i got them relic'd. i regularly join titan hm groups in the party finder purely for the chance at the weapons, and im sure the groups im joining dont mind having an experienced i87 sch who can solo heal it on their team. my point is, good luck finding experienced players for titan if everyone stopped doing it once they got their relic

I completely expect the relic weapons to get upgrades, and the others not. Just my guess, though.
