Right now this is FC housing so it should have been expected considering FC housing is a made for your entire FC.

Personal Housing prices is another story but we won't get that until later.

its a load of crap they should make them so people work together and use fc housing points the same ones they use for the scrolls daily at least the large and active fc's would be rewarded for work done not by how much gil they bought off the rmt's what a load of .........

So if you buy worst plot and later want to get better one, you don't even get your gil back/compensated?

I died when I saw the prices. No one was expecting that amount of zeros.

Everyone in my FC was excited about housing and giving every small amount of gil they could to help us buy a land and then buy the house slowly (seeing it grow), because we were fully aware that it would cost a nice amount of gil, but there's no way that we can buy any plot of land anytime soon (that's it, not in 3 months, at least with the current economy). Not every FC in the game has already a lot of level 50 people, as a lot of us have many many lowbies, or relatively fresh 50s without tens of millions of gil in their pockets. Shocking, I know.

agreed but with what the absolutely ridiculous prices that has been put on fc housing i can't see personal housing being to much cheaper and besides what tard is going to buy fc housing at that cost when personal housing is coming out in the next few patches ..stupid thing is I'm a solo player that i started my own fc and 1 of the main things that i looked forward to was the housing but at this cost LMFAO yoshi . Also bear in mind this is Free company housing, so i'm guessing it's multiple people's gold put into the Company chest?

This is precisely why I wanted basic, simple housing to be baseline for everyone and for the gil sink to come from upgrading to more extravagant plots/houses or decorations. No one should be priced out of content this horrendously.

With prices like this, they're begging for a boom in RMT activity.

Quite obviously housing will only be available for the elite of the elite. I dare say that at a minimum only 5% of all the FCs will be able to afford housing. Most of those will be the ones who sell services and whose only goal is to make Gil. I have always suspected that if Yoshi-P had his druthers Gil would be completely eliminated from the game and the economy would be strictly controlled by the Devs.. This is just another indication of that. If you are going to do it Yoshi-P just do it, otherwise the only people who profit from this will be the RMTs.

Lucky us, I've been keeping track of what every FC member has donated for the house, now I can easily give it back to them since we wont reach those prices... ever,

I think the biggest issue is that there simply isn't a way in game to produce that much Gil. Here comes more Extremes/Coil selling, and people purchasing gil from rmt.

Apparently on Balmung, the cheapest plot available starts at 20 MILLION gil. Twenty million.

I see they took all the RMT gil into consideration, this is so hilarious I have nothing to say except laugh harder at the people who defend this.

Having a housing sand box to play in with our FC friends was really the only carrot I had left. A small house is about the size of a mog house for one person in XI, so basically there is no point to this at all for a small to medium FC as they'll never be able to afford something that might actually be fun to use. Fail.

After going coming back from being out shopping, sitting down to have a nice coffee to read how much the Free Company housing was, I almost spat it back out. The prices are insane and for free companies that have been saving since release, they wont even be able to afford the smallest plot available. These new dailies better award a heck of a lot of money..

Sorry but I must say a lot of people failed math including SE. 14% can not be use simply as the percentage form. Rules says we must convert that % sign to a decimal in order to use it with other similar numbers. Hence you get .14 and not .14%.

Then you can either do basic math or a more complicated step to solve. Either find what 625,000,000 is .14 and subtract or the other method.

Even with math done correctly SE failed display correct percentage for half. SE simply rounded up of 3.6m which that 400k makes a world of a difference in the current game economy.

Well the prices are ridiculous. I'm sure they'll come down a lot soon enough when they notice that NOBODY is buying them.

While I do agree that access to the top tier of housing should be something to work hard for, the low end prices on this scale are not even remotely what I would consider the "cheap and small" starter home. On my server, 20 million for the cheapest plot of land is just ridiculous.

Not everyone is suppose to have the First Class lot. It'll be the biggest FCs on the server. You scoff at the prices but I'm willing to beat those high dollar lots are going to be sold in the first month.

Housing was the one thing I was personally looking forward to. SE pretty much quashed my dreams since on my server I cannot afford half the smallest worst land plot. Maybe between all my FC members would could - but is spending ALL our gil for the smallest worst land plot supposed to excite me?

So SE has succeeded in giving housing to the 5% that can afford it and alienating the other 95%. Not that good of a business strategy.

I am the leader of a small casual endgame LS, about 30 active members and with some luck we can maybe get the 5th class land for a small house.

SE is simply trying to fix the economy by asking those insane prices. The ones defending this are even crazier than SE staff itself.
