I'm not part of any large FC, but heck, I'll sign it.
Although I also think that these caps are of a technical nature, not a social.
It is very possible that increasing the capacity can become a strain on several levels, if that's the case then all I can say is grin and bear it.

The game in itself is designed against doing things in big groups so the fact that someone is doing something as a big group or trying to is a nice way of telling SE we want more challenging alliance content other then Crystal Tower for that I applaud this group and others that are trying to do so. As others before me have said and SE has completely ignored this is a MMO there are people that WANT to do things in large groups. Give us 24/32/64 man raids, and as always also give us challenging 4 and 8 man raids. While the content may not be run as much as Coil AK or CM due to convenience, SE needs to realize there is a market out there for this type of stuff as is evident by this group.

The FC (and to a lesser extent linkshell) capacity limits do really hamper our ability to connect with others in our gaming community. Yes, we do have a lot of players. Yes, they are all for the most part active- we do a purge of inactives in the main FC about once a week or so and despite this our numbers between the two companies consistently hover around 800+. This number is only going to get bigger once server transfers begin, since it's been mentioned that we do have a number of players on our offsite community who are looking to transfer to our primary server.
With the large size of our company, it is inevitable that there will be players that I don't know as well as others. I really don't see how that's pertinent, though. I don't need to know someone's inner hopes and dreams to enjoy running dungeons with them. -

Ive checked members in PBC before and most the time they have under 20 members online in the FC so they claim they need all this room but they are trying to seem like this is a lot bigger deal than what it actually is. stop inviting everyone you see and maybe you wouldnt have this problem.
In your FC list you can see the last login time of your members if they are offline, if someone hasnt been on in over 2 weeks chances are they arent coming back -

We also already do frequent purges of inactives like you mentioned, to get people from DGKK into PBC and we're still running into capacity.Quote:

For my needs 512 is fine. What I really need is more LS capacity.
The way we're structured is that our FC is an extension of our LS. Everyone in our FC is in the LS, but not everyone in the LS is in the FC. So the larger group is our LS. -

The real question is. Why is a combined FC of near 1000 members with 100 active not on the server, on the most populated legacy server?
I feel you should apply your FC name {Please Be Careful} and take advantage of the free server transfer to a lower pop legacy server to accommodate your members. -

I'm the companymaster of Please Be Careful. I'd like to address some concerns.
- PBC does not have many inactive members. Approximately 480 of our 512 members have logged in at least once in the last week. We are regularly removing people who have been inactive for at least 7 days to move people from our overflow company into PBC. We regularly have around 200 members logged on at prime time.

- We have many "raid linkshells" at various levels of progression which handle their own internal recruitment, scheduling and gear distribution; the FC is for pickup groups, leveling, crafting, asking questions and so forth. I don't demand raid content that can be done by my whole FC; I'd just like more member space because I've got a few hundred people who feel left out right now.

Meh, if you want more room I suppose? But I hope you guys understand, the 99% majority of FC's in the game aren't having a problem with size so I hope you understand if this doesn't pass under the dev's nose of worth their while to work on. If you're able to handle all those people then more power to you. But I'm kind of like the other people in here, that just sounds excessive haha, theres nothing yet in game that would require just an overbearing presence. This isn't EVE or a PvP open world guild in WoW. The largest fight is...8 people at the moment with 24 in the future. My old LS in XI would have 24 people of maybe 40 total on for an event night, so its not like its hard to pull the people you need when things would pop up. But like I said, if its hurting you guys THAT much then I feel for ya and hope you can find at least some kind of temporary solution for yall.
