For me personally I'm not affected by the bots, I can't blame them either consider the state of the game. I guess its mainly a problem for the real crafter, since there legitimate hard work is for nothing when we can buy the same item off the bot for chips.

On Besaid, any character with the name "Bes _____" is a bot. You can see Bes Kitty near the Hyaline in LL breaking down fish for months straight and armies of Bes's flood camps on a regular basis. Of course, all rank 1 gear.

they usualy watch players to see if they are bots or not legit before they hit them(unlike some other games who ban you purely for having alot of gold with no investigation)
also while the STF is "down" they are still active too, bannings are happening just not in the way they would if they were up like they normaly would be
