At least they lubed everyone up, beforehand.
Exp loss is a toxic mechanic that should never, ever, see the light of day again. Let it be gone forever.

Ah but you also said you used Amdapor Keep as a test. You have no supporting evidence at all.
Considering the level of outright negativity and nitpicking on the forums, I suspect that someone else would have already complained about this if it was an issue. But that has not happened. When someone makes accusations such as this, the burden of proof is the one doing the accusing to show evidence. You have not done so.
I did a full Meridianum run Tuesday night and I had about 20% durability loss. No deaths.
I think you're either imagining things or this is an unintended side effect of the patch, but if it was their intention to speed up durability loss at the cost of lower repairs I'm pretty sure they would have put that in the patch notes.
What really amazes me is that people think it is perfectly reasonable to have to swap gear just to keep it from wearing out. The "Use it and wear it out" system is really pretty bad. Gear wearing out from death is acceptable, as it is more a punishment for failure rather than an added price to play the game. Some people here would defend an S-E decision if they were going to come to your house and steal your silverware.
I like the game, but it sure as heck isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread. These are realistic complaints, stop trying to shut people down just because you think S-E can do no wrong. The fact that we have ARR at all is proof that isn't true.
1.5k for repairs is way better than 4k
Repairing isn't so bad anymore.
