Beta Test Windows(R) means you played in beta, not that you had a 1.0
There was a post somewhere that listed all the different listings and what they meant.

do you have 2 tabs on your account a lot of us added a new service account instead of registering add windows service long thread on the forums about this issue http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ervice-account
No I only have 1 active service account.
If you only have 1 service account and it's not a 1.0 and you're getting invalid code, then there's probably something wrong with the code. You should contact the store you got it from and tell them your code is wrong. I've heard a few people mention that customer support at amazon was pretty good, they got replacement pre-order codes right away.
I just got off the phone with them. They said that they have been getting alot of calls about that but the issue isn't on their side, they said to contact square enix support and ask them what's up with the key. If they say no the key is invalid the man who attended me left a note on my account so he told me to call back if they say it's invalid. Sadly square enix support is down atm.
I solved the problem for me Chark. I had been entering the code manually but when I copied and pasted the code directly, i was able to register my collector's edition, so if you've been entering it manually maybe this will work for you as well
Ugh, that sucks! Doesn't help their email support is garbage as well, have to use live chat, unless you want the phone bill from their non toll-free number ;)
The codes are case sensitive, some people have missed that as well.
That happens randomly.
