I wouldn't even mind it that much, but the game becomes a ghost town whenever there's an update and playing alone is no fun.
Except there hasn't. In the past 5 weeks there was only down time on Feb 4 and Jan 26. The last time before that was Dec 24 which was 6 weeks ago. Instead of making up a scenario to make your point, use the actual facts for it. Granted it's not all that much. Far less than the other big MMO out right now who has had nothing but down time and fixes lately and has a far far far buggier state right now than FF14 ever has. By competition standards SE has been doing great all things considered.
Edit: I should add that I by no means condone a lot of the current design choices and think SE has dropped the ball in many ways in regards to that. It is only in terms of build stability and maintenances that they have a good track record.
Rather have that than have endless bugs like in Wow. Be grateful they are actually fixing something.
"oh no I hate it when developers tries to fix things and I can't be online 24-7"
It becomes a ghost town because a lot of people don't play after a maintenance.
