It kind of was. We not only got 3 dungeons per patch, we still had 7 ex primals, Ultima and Odin, additional story and Hildibrand trials. So much relic grind it kept you busy for months (yes I count that as an upside), plus crafing and gathering "relics", we got coil savage (which were more like 4 ultimate turns), the whole Gold Saucer and of course the usual stuff like alliance and "savage" raids. Hildibrand, Moogle and that riddle quest. Five beast tribes, now we are down to three...
And of course treasure maps, the hunt, housing was all new and exiting content as well.
They even dropped a whole new job mid expansion with Ninja.
