tbh i keep thinking to sub and try this game, but the old ui and no modern feature like quest mark or where to go next and not to mention the playonline savage trial, always put me off

i wish they ease up the playonline a bit or just put a dang whole new launcher and maybe polish the ui a bit more, i definitely going to try it especially now you can just solo all the way

Kind off topic but I do wonder where our language and vocabulary will evolve to in the next decade or two. Because right now we already abuse word that 30-40 years ago reserved to describe the most dire of situation and worst of offend. These days, most of these words are being thrown around as your regular daily use to describe the most trivial matter and the smallest of infraction.

So assuming the current and next generation grew up in norm, what would they say when their generation finally face a truly momentous event ... what words they will still have left to use?

Disagree, besides slightly harder for casuals dungeons, there is no new obscure dawntrail defining mechanics in normal and savage. All we got was previous expansion bosses mixed with small slowly moving exaflares in m2 (hearts).

Right now game is subpar on every front at max level.

I...don't think it's that severe that Yoshi-P needs to "step down" from his position. If anything though, it really shows they have to step UP the quality of the story again back to Shadowbringers level, or at least close.

To me personally: Endwalker's story, both the MSQ and post-patch, were awful and drained me to the point where I didn't even finish the post-patch story until the day before Dawntrail launched because I cared that little about what I was presented. And now Dawntrail's story, by some ungodly miracle, is somehow WORSE then Endwalker's story to me. I wouldn't have been so harsh on Zero if I knew we'd be getting a character like Wuk Lamat after her. I still enjoyed my Dawntrail play-through, but how the hell did that story get the green light?

Some might say that Dawntrail is just "Stormblood 2.0", but while Stormblood's MSQ and post-patch MSQ stories were weak; the devs made up for it with banger after banger side content during the patches. I have the copium ready and am hoping that Dawntrail's side content [Devil's Triangle, Arcadion Tier 2/3, FF11 alliance raid series, cosmic exploration, new criterions, beastmaster job, etc] WILL be banger after banger and make up for whatever the hell this MSQ story was, especially if the post-patch MSQ story is going to have the same quality of writing that 7.0 did.

Yoshi P has been too passive with his PR speak.

If he wants to put this to bed, he needs to publically address the issues with the story, and tell us what will be done in the future content/patches/expansions to come. He needs to re-assure people that this will NOT happen again, and that there is more oversight into what is being written into the MSQ in the future, so we're not playing babysitter and being treated like an NPC with an obnoxious childish cat girl who has daddy issues taking up the spotlight at every oppurtunity. If he's not going to do this, he can expect the backlash to continue.

I don't think he's been involved with flops all that much... DT probably the closest to being one, XVI does remain to be seen how well it does when it releases on PC on the 17th.

Given SE track record with screw ups I would prefer Yoshida not to step down.

He is probably the last thing holding the most bullshit out of this game.

Besides… what then?

The writing showed that new people don’t automatically make good decisions.

So no he shouldn’t step down but he should finally start to really think about what he wants his game to be because I can’t imagine empty zones, mixed receptions, boring jobs and people more and more being ready to skip cutscenes are what he thinks an MMO should be.
