Asura in XIV Was a Disgrace to the legacy of FFIV

Kinda hoping the Arcadion involves Gilgamesh or variant of him, a decent guess ive heard come up for Arcadion is another "Omega" esque tournament.

They seem to make dramatic "I quit" threads to only take an extended break then come back to find more story things to complain about to then just do another "I quit thread" after making multiple fanfiction threads.

It was a neat fight with great visuals, but I'm not sure why its tied to the Hildebrand story, its not comedic and feels extremely out of place, feels like a trial we should have gotten during our stint in Thavnair during the MSQ if Endwalker wasn't rushing us to the moon asap, or a post-patch trial assuming we weren't fighting the four fiends. Also I would have appreciated a second remix of the FFIV boss them like how Battle with the Four Fiends got remixed twice for Barbariccia and Rubicante.

Feels like its just a bonus fight on top of the relic to add in one last FFIV homage before the expansion ended, which is shame for those that wanted to see Asura get more care into her fight.

but I wish they had handled it like Varus

"Normal" mode should have been a Solo "Trial" with WoL, Hildi, Nashu, Brandi, Godbert, Julyan, Delion, and the CLB... and Pupu could have provided some kind of support with a Duty Action. The Great Work was right there, where they made the scales to resist tempering... like when everyone was like "Welp it's a primal GL, they should have turned around to see CLB there with his arms full of scales.

Then there should have been an EX version that players actually queue up for with each other.

Felt like a fight that was meant to have an engaging Extreme, but got scrapped so it could be part of Hildibrand.

And honestly I wish they'd stop making Hildibrand

Meh, I enjoyed it. Can we stop being over the top now?

I think I'll be constantly begging for Gilgamesh XII version to appear for dunno how many years, I just love that look, it would blend so well with XIV.
Asura was alright and honestly this felt like an EX could have been awesome but oh well

I admit that the fight is not very interesting, and one may wonder why it exists.

But never before have the challenges in the Hildibrand quests offered more than just a regular battle.

It wasn't a secret that Asura wouldn't have an Extreme version and would be a fight primarily because a battle needed to be released for Hildi.

Anyway, considering how Endwalker only provided the bare minimum, one shouldn't have expected anything better.
