What's up with the quite lackluster story in 8.0?
I think they go too far with showing us the new zones and bosses in live letters, even if we don't know the context. The most exciting zones and bosses in the game are ones they tell us nothing about.
So definitely no. I think it would be boring and ruin a lot of the fun of the story.
This reminds me. They don't show a lot yes, but even when showing or not showing they say: "Careful this could be a heavy spoiler" which then turns out to not be the case. Like when showing the 6.5 new ally raid they did say that, even though seeing the entire raid without bosses won't really spoiler anything as we don't have context (especially the last portion, as we already know we'd be fighting the remaining twelve and who are they)
I like the fact they didn't try the same with the 6.4 and 6.5 trials because they were heavily speculated and expected.
Let's be honest, SE/CBUIII already practically did this when YP said he hopes/etc for 10 more Years of XIV.
10/2=5 Expansions at most.
Everyone's Copying Square Enix Now A Days, even more blatantly.
jk
About 8 Months to see if any of their hidden efforts will get people to accept/rage/denial that the Boredom many experienced was a pain necessary or not before the Rewards.
edit:
3 til we see the majority of the curtain pulled about what awaits in DT. And See Large DISAPPOINTMENT, or experience Calm, or Daily Routine.
it should also be pointed out that Blizzard and future plans hold as much water as a sieve.
Overwatch 2 story mode? the only reason they announce things like that is to hype it up, get people excited.. and then pull the rug. it gives them giggles.
SE hates releasing details of the next whatever they are planning, period... two or three down the road... that would signal a huge change in their business model and at that point, I would not view it as a good thing.
It's the usual problem. People with gigantic egos in expensive suits making decisions on things they understand nothing about, it blows up in their faces and instead of getting rid of the incompetent management that caused the problem the people who actually made the product successful in the first place get fired.
Unfortunately it's nothing new.
