We're talking about roulette though? Why require 565 ilvl for roulette
As everyone mentioned, it's to circumvent the ilv cheese that's been going on for a while, now players are forced to essentially queue for all alliance raids up to Aglaia when queueing for alliance roulette.
But they went with a weird solution that essentially locks new players out of said roulette since most will be Lv 90 by the time they hit the end of HW.
Got it in roulette today. That's just one day, not a very big sample size really.
Weird solution in our minds, normal for SE's.
For some reason they always go overboard and I don't understand. Then later they're going to look at the statistics to see if they were successful or not, and base a poor judgement off that...
Sounds like an unintended consequence of the new system, yeah. Hopefully someone who actually matters reads this thread and pushes it higher up so it can be fixed 'cause yeah. Whatever your reasons for doing alliance raid roulette in these circumstances is irrelevant; you should be able to do it if you want to.
They could maybe tie it to MSQ progression. Or if the game know what raids you have unlocked so your ilvl has to be as high as the highest available to you. But probably some issues with having a variable ilvl on roulette that is character specific. Either way, if you wanna blame anyone, blame the players who cheesed ilvl to keep doing CT over and over and over.
Also, I get this will sound harsh. But, if you are 90 in HW, Stb, Shb, why are you even running Alliance Roulette on that 90 job anyway? You don't need the tomestones or xp. The easiest option would just be level up another job.
Gave me a reason not to run alliance raid roulette. I only ran it just to pass time.
With the iLvl requirement change to the Alliance Roulette, this made them set the iLvl requirement to the first available Alliance raid of a level range. For Lvl 90, that's Aglaia and its iLvl 565 entry requirement. The only exception being the Lvl 50 range, which has the iLvl set to the entry requirement of Syrcus Tower.
The only players hitting Lvl 90 by the end of HW, are the ones with the Road to 80 buff, or the ones running daily roulettes on the job that they do the MSQ with.
Personal experience from leveling an EU alt this expansion, was hitting Lvl 90 by the time I reached the lvl 88 MSQ. This was without the Road to 80, and a minimal amount of daily roulettes.
