Ok that makes sense actually, thank you for explaining

Also the Pizza emote was made available in Japan through a promotion there. It's over now though, for awhile now.
A lot of NPCs actually can't cast magic so in some communities of people may use something like this as entertainment.
Even most of the NPCs we engage with in Disciples of Magic tend to struggle, as our WoL/Mary Sue effortlessly surpasses their life's work in 10 minutes.
Even among non-Garleans, not everyone has enough magical aptitude to actually learn real magic. The focus of the thaumaturge class quests is about the one brother of the five (six? I forget) guildmasters who lacks enough aether capacity to join them.
Would make a cool BLU reward.
(it'll never happen)
It would be great if we did get more of these emotes and store items as in-game rewards. Unfortunately, SE is still a company who wants profits over anything so if they can get away with it, they will.
*Shakes fist at capitalism*
Yep. IIRC instead of a sub fee, you pay per minute; so if you play for 2 hours, you're paying for a 120 minutes, etc. Though it looks like right now they have a pass plan for 90 days for ~$36 USD (₩47500 in KR₩) to play unlimited on your account, so subscriptions may have started in a way for the KR client; unsure if this is across the board or not - I do recall some of their restrictions on only playing games like this in PC bangs were being rolled back some, so perhaps this is the start of that?
CN seems to work like their mobile games, and you can "recharge" your monthly card to play. Even still, their monetization is vastly different than ours in how to play + they're behind some patches, so they usually get a lot of cosmetics for their troubles... and because that's what they spend on. Still wish the global version would get the all classes crafting/gathering glamours from both CN/KR brought over :/
For reference, the KR shop is here and the CN shop is here.
All of the things you see are usually straight into their cash shops, and whatever we get brought over also goes into our cash shop to keep it fair. This has been discussed idk how many times from nearly every CN/KR cash shop item that has come over, so this is still nothing new. It'll be a $7 emote or whatever, like it normally is, and yes, we keep in line with their prices, for the most part, based on whatever inflation and exchange rate is at the time. It looks like the magician emote is already there for 4800 coupons - assuming 4800 coupons is like crysta (and I'm fairly certain it is) and it works like crysta with a 1:1 ratio (1 crysta = $1) it's ~48.00 CN¥ which comes out to about ~$7 USD.
