Level pots aren't P2W in the same way, they still place you 10 levels behind current and do not include the latest expansion for story jumps. If I could legit buy Gil I could just buy the top tier crafted gear, pay my way through the pentamelds, pay for the top tier raid food. XIV is for the most part very carefully crafted and balanced to extract the max amount of gameplay out of endgame build-up without being overly grindy (subjective), it's spread across many activities and gameplay types from DoH/L to the Raiders themselves. It also supports a HUGE amount of the game economy. "Illegal" Gil sales already disrupt this to some extent, "legal" sales through SE would destroy it. Based on my 9 years of experience with this game community P2W would drive a mass exodus, you should see the frothing at the mouth hate over NFT's, or what some see as SE's abuse of the cash shop just for cosmetics. P2W has a place for some game types, I do not believe XIV to be one of them.

(Edit) FWIW I like many of your other ideas, and think they are worth consideration by the team. We can disagree on the Gil sales amicably
