6.0 endwalker pvp maybe is not you cup of tea. However is good to see dev team did some change.
To me mostly problem with pvp is server latency and netcode and purify/guard delay. Job balance has issue however compare to 2.0 to 4.0 is far better than PVE button in PVP. Since there is no restriction with job role now queue time also a lot better compare to before with job role. Crowned control is bit overdone but is during purify frame delay and netcode.
Only 2 problems I have in rank is no demoting and matchmaking. I don't like the idea of just pushing everyone up, because I'm worried that lower rank queues may suffer during the 2nd half of the season. I may be overreacting, but we'll see. As for matchmaking I have to question it. Like, why am I doing promos in a diamond room while I'm gold? What did I do wrong to receive the punishment from the gods?
Other than that I will happily grind CC all day despite the mode itself having it's own problems. I just wish that feast wasn't deleted.
Your problem is you were only doing it for the rewards. If you don't like pvp you're not going to like anything the dev team does.
Ugh no. The pvp kit works fine for pvp because its fast paced. It would never work in pve. The last thing I'd want is such a limited amount of abilities with no rotation to speak of being used while trying to dps check a 8 minute fight. I'd literally quit the game if the pvp kits ever transitioned over to pve.
I dont know dude, while the kits are very simplified, they do bring a lot of creative elements such as the SCH spread ability used on Biolysis, the HP spending on DRK (would work if the HP spenders had some cooldown like 15s and paired with stronger lifesteal in the kit) or the ranged DPS having moves that would make them slowwalk during casts but make them hit harder based on factors.
There is plenty you could take notes from regarding PvP abilities that would give some spice to PvE jobs.
Even with its issues it's still one of the better parts of the game. The matches in top 100 are actually fun when the elo terrorists are away.
Hopefully they can further refine it by next expansion, I wouldn't mind having ability or two added to most Jobs.
Same, Without demote half of the players get pushed up and the available skill in the tiers gets watered down. With that it can be a matter of luck or matchmaking logic to get either balanced games or 30 sec steamrolls.
Another thing is that it's too easy for a group of people to all end up in the same matches. I definitely had sessions with people from the same pvp team over and over again which gives them a lot potential to control the outcome.
Put my coin in the pile of people who enjoy it, though acknowledge the room for improvement.
Love the fast pace, simple objective, the new job kits. Dislike the amount of burst damage there is sometimes, which is more a job design problem. Also think all job effects should be more clear and team-coloured when possible, and the UI could be more readable. Considering none of my complaints are around the core idea, I think we are off to a good start!
If you hate it so much, just leave. After you finish your Garo, you can get series progress on all other forms of PvP, with RW on the way soon!
