The fact that Bloodweapon has been changed to charges but not Heatblast spam and/or Wildfire is confusing.
Especially when it's been requested since Bunshin got charges.

Anyway, both are job requests. I don't care much if they're comparable or not, it's just to meme on both being questionable job direction.

Is there anything else that consumes gauge that has stacks like that? I feel like most other abilities that give stacks are cool downs so they don't need to worry about "double casting" and how that would work. i.e. if you use Hypercharge twice, does the second use reset stacks to 5 or add 5 stacks? Would be interesting if it added 5. Hell, you could end up with 15 stacks if that were the case (100 gauge + Barrel Stabilizer) </cope></hope>


Anyway, in response to the OP. Kaiten won't be back and Kenki generation will be lowered (halved) in 6.2 and potency on Kenki abilities will be increased.

No, nothing that consumes gauge is on a stack cooldown that I'm aware of. And if they did exist, they'd do what anything else on a stacked cooldown does most likely, which is cancel out whatever you already had to be reapplied. Only real instance of that I can say for certain as an example is Aurora from GNB their regen becomes 2 stacks later, and those don't double up. Then there's Meikyo Shisui on SAM.

As for the request to OP, we'll, probably a myriad of innocuous things will happen, most likely, idk

i can see them mentioning it in 6.2s live letter, but that they're gonna double down on it.
that Yoshi is immensly sorry for Kaitens removal and that he never saw this coming to this extend, but that Kaitens removal is essential in balancing the job, but don't worry, 7.0 is around 2 years for now, look forward to improvements to the job.

very true, but at the same time, Yoshi-P knew this was gonna be an controversial change, he said so in the live letter leading up to 6.1, he asked us to play with it and give it some time to sink in, which basically tells me.
"i know the community loves Kaiten, but this skill makes our job harder, so screw them ... away it goes!" even though Kaiten could've been repurposed to fit their balancing fantasy since a lot liked it for the animation, flavour and ofcourse the kenki management aspect it provided.

you'll never see anything this bad happen to black mage, because Yoshi actively plays that, i know this is 1 of those conspiracy theories, but let's be real, was Black Mage ever in an rough spot outside what the job always was ment to be? an turret/cannon that does a lot of damage, has it never provided just that? (maybe when Summoner was massively overtuned in Shadowbringers and it topped the charts easily, but that's not black mages fault, that's the balancing team behind Summoners fault)

Shadowbringers and Endwalker have both reduced turret status by a significant degree. You almost always have a slew of movement tools at your disposal . Most players aren't going to consider that "Bad", but Endwalker Blackmage is ranking 4 out of the 5 expansion iterations to this player.
